I'm not generally a fan of culture.... but I suppose some things qualify as such that I can appreciate:

#1. Internet Culture. The only one of any real consequence to me in my ultimate bid to become "famous on teh intarwebz". There once was a time where a Google search would register around 40,000 hits for my webname.... ALL of which were either references TO me or posts BY me.

#2. Chinese Culture. I have a gradually expanding collection of kung fu films, and have to regularly stop myself from getting more JUST for the sake of having them. I've told myself ONLY to get ones that are actually likely to be awesome for their own sake...
But anyhow... I love all that martial arts stuff. I also play Dynasty Warriors games a lot (not enough games out there that allow you to get four-figure kill-counts).

#3. Norse Culture. Not rightly sure why. I suppose it is because they were a very strong people... and entirely capable of taking what they wanted by force... and their religion was entirely founded on the basis of "who was the most badass?" ...

#4. Welsh Culture. I was brought up Welsh. Can't help it really. I played the piano in school eisteddfods... and even participated in the national Urdd Eisteddfod once. I've got it tuned hardline into me.

Japanese
Polynesian / Maori / Marshallese (Pacific Islands)
Deaf

Japanese because its so different and when you dissemble it enough, its really like a mindset where NT's live in an AS -like culture.

Polynesian because they have an amazing way to treat people and welcome them regardless of who/what they are.

Deaf people have a very unique view/way of interacting with others.. i consider it a culture on its own.

I just remembered - I only got her some the other week! She's never satisfied. Maybe I'll go cross-breed with some of those Neanderthals. That'd show her. That'd show her good!" ;)

Bulgarian bacilli cultures (quality yogurt), of course!

I must be one of the few people here repelled by Japanese culture - rigidly hierarchical, authoritarian and ceremonial, entirely dependent on hints and nuance rather than frank talk, conformist, workaholic (surely it's the only developed country where people sometimes literally die of overwork?). It's good to have a sense of duty and honour, but the Japanese pushed it to the lengths of a disease.
Chinese culture seems better, I like Celtic culture, the Latin cultures both attract and repel me (not least my own), Anglosaxon culture is OK, the Africans I've met have all been nice, both the sub-Saharan ones and the Arab ones (though the Moroccans are definitely Latin). Germanic culture seems to have some of the same faults as Japanese culture, except it doesn't seem conformist, nor nearly as ceremonial, and its frankness is refreshing.

Some of these are periods of history

Roman culture (around the time of Julius Caesar)
Japanese culture
Gypsies and other nomads
Native American cultures
African cultures
Aboriginal cultures
Amish culture
Ottoman culture around the time of Suleiman the Great
Elizabethan England

My interests come and go but those seem to be the top ones
