If you have any details about your grandparents dob or wedding date then it should be possible to do a family tree. Are you in the UK? I don't know about the US, but UK records are very good, and once you get before 1911 you can use the census which is very helpful. Irish records can be more tricky, but Scottish are very good. I don't know about the rest of Europe though.
The Irish record office was set on fire in 1920 uprisings which makes it a b***h to find records as good deal were lost, am genealogist myself going back 8th generations in both mother's & step-father's side of the family. I would love to find a copy of a family bible that now lost of an Irish part of my family that book from info from my living family history as travelled the world twice & now last know location of it was in the West Midlands back in 70s
The Canadian branch of ancestry from that same part of my family, hold an annual family/clan reunion of about 3,000 people!! !
