Little do we know that the Christians took the old Pagan ritual of All Hallow's Eve or All Saint's Day and made it more Christian friendly. Did you know that Christmas has similar roots?

a-duh!

I was 14 by the way.

I know eh
ALL their crappy holidays were stolen from some pagan holiday and Christianized some how
(Jesus wasn't even born on x-mas even the bible says that-that was the day the 3 men found him)

My dad was one of them fundie wackos that thought celebrating Halloween by Trick or Treating was worshiping Satan. So I never got to go until my dad's fourth wife(My last step mother) talked him into letting us go with her kids. I was 16, it was the first and last time I went.

I made my own costume(I know how to sew :o ), I went as a ninja(Subzero style Gi, with purple material) with a stick sword I made a leather guard for, wrapped the handle and made a scabbard with extra cloth and stuck it through my belt. My youngest brother used the suit(I further modified) the next two years.

I had a pretty good time, and got lots of candy. :D

Hahahaha me too!! ! my dad told me that they hid them in there too. And he told me some old ladies were real witches. I went for the first time when I was 7, and never again. I didnt go because i thought it was stupid, i didn't like wearing the uncomfortable costumes and going to strange peoples houses and getting candy from people i didn't trust. And besides i didn't even like candy.

13 was the cutoff date at our house. However, that year I had managed to break my leg and was in a full leg cast so I didn't go out. Went out the next year, but wouldn't you know it, I had a growth spurt and people were less than kind to me, sigh. It was more about the costume for me than the candy (although I appreciated the chocolate:)).

never really stopped.

I didn't do it much during high school, I did put a costume on and hand out candy, and then now that I'm in college, I dress up in different things.

my avy is a close aproximation of what my outfit at holloween looked like.

though my holloween outfit looked i was a tactical ops officer

this year, sort of like a European Ninja.

I'm not sure. I know that she wasn't going to let him stop her kids from going. They usually argued/talked in their room so we couldn't hear them. Before they went into their room to talk about it, we weren't allowed, afterwards we were allowed. *shrugs*
