I believe I was visited by my grandma just from the drawer opening by itself. This was just after her funeral and the drawer had originally belonged to her before she gave it to me some years back.

I don't know..I guess I would just like to believe it was her since it happenened coincidentally.

kk, so i've been reading this really good book, about ghosts, and the different types of forms they can take, and the different type of entities they represent... it's really cool, and i love ghosts and stuff liek that... poltergheists are absolutely amazing, and i want to know peoples opinions on this... plus, i think i have a ghost in my house...
here's reaons why:
footsteps can be heard in the attic at night, along with a male voice(sometimes a female as well) talking, mumbling, my room switches from warm to extremely cold randomly, and my stuff is moved around a lot, plus i have a crosss bookmark always getting thrown from my closet. and i can hear voices, and sometimes feel something watching or touching me.

i'm good at recognizing the signs of ghosts, so just ask me for advice, or just chat about ghosts here :)

Hmmm... Well, I sometimes sense the presence of some unidentified being in the room, or when I walk down the street... But I don't know if they're ghosts - maby I'm just being mental?

I believe that things happen that we can't explain by 'normal' means, yes.

veruniel, your story is fascinating - I live not far from Norwich, I have to get down there sometime. (Do they have cool tombstones? Hubby likes photographing stone angels.)

I see that type of ghost as residual energy from old emotions, that just 'plays back' like a recording. Poltergeists would be the same kind of energy, only from a living person in the house - usually a teen. (Although, I did know someone who had a poltergeist that did turn out to be an actual spirit, a girl who'd died in a fire, who'd latched on to her because she was the same age and started switching lights on and off, stuff like that. She just asked her nicely to stop doing it, and it stopped happening.)

I have on the other hand, heard about enough instances of apparitions, voices, senses of 'presence' to convince me that spirits actually do communicate. I have no scientific proof, that's just what I happen to believe.

Before the nonbelievers dismiss me as entirely woo-woo, I will say that I'm sceptical about orbs. This is simply because I'm married to a photographer, and I know all the pretty and interesting things that bad lighting can do to a picture.

Every single claim of paranormal activity that I have ever personally looked into has been a case of ignorance, delusion, or outright fraud. While I believe in the possibility, I have yet to experience a paranormal event in person, or examine "evidence" that could not be explained as a normal event or trickery.

here's something interesting,

i was at my friends house, and she has a demon, she used to have ghosts and pultergheists.
so... i slept over at her house, and i woke in the middle of the night, and she was sleeping, and on her stairs, i see this orb just making little figure eights, and the brightness of it kept changin, it came down the stairs, and then dissappeared :)
i fell asleep and told my friend in the morning, and she wasn't surprised at all, in fact she has seen it too!

:)

i've been reading books abouit this and here's how a house becomes haunted...

"the person who moves into a home, where there has been em0tional stress and or death in the home, if the new resident goes through a similar stress... then the house will create a ghost, orb, poltergheist, or even a demon..."

Without a doubt, I know it exists.

I'm also very happy that I only have a very limited sensitivity to it.

I'm head to toe into spiritual and occult things...

but I do not think that high of calling things 'paranormal phenomena' unless one calls it that because they try to de-mystify every 'phenomenon'. To categorise for the sake of categorising and fitting everything into human experience and perception is not doing anything.

It's just this whole categorising of 'ghosts' and dead folks is... it's got nothing to do with living that stuff, finding your way in life, making the best out of who you are on a level on which you're confronted with aspects of yourself and life that may not yet be acknowledged. Sometimes they get in your way, sometimes not, same as with all other aspects of this world.

I mean, you know it's like this: I've never been to Africa... so what do I care about encyclopaedic information about Africa? I may find it fascinating, really, but that's not important. And even if I know everything about how big Africa is, the exact temperatures in each region... what would it matter for living there, being happy, finding our all inner balance?
