What would you do if WP disappeared?

Wrong planet actually is a place that i feel really safe. I view it as more than a website. It's like my aspie group, but larger and better. sometimes when I think of it, I think of a big room, with green and blue decor, like the colors here. This place means a lot to me. I've spent a *lot* of time here over my adolescence. I'd hate it if it all went away. That'd be terrible.

But i'm sure if Alex did get tired of it, he'd sell the website to someone who would love it and take care of it, just as much as we do.

I'd probably have myself a meltdown because it'd mess up my patterns of web browsing. Then I'd need to find something to fill the gap(s).... ugh. Thinking about it is giving me a headache.

This is just one of the sites I visit. My primary site is the Siamese Internet Cat Club. I would feel bad for those people who use WP as a primary site, however.

I'd have nothing to read... except for Fnord's memoirs

I wouldn't speak to Alex for a week.

I'd be mad and sad and scared I wouldn't be able to write my book on my life, because I haven't finished pasting all my relevant posts from this board into a Microsoft word document.

I'd be very upset. It's one of my most favourite websites.
I may then search for another autism forum.

I'd buy the domain, put up a temporary server with n explanation, and buy some computer parts and a BSD license.

I'd be sad, cos here I can rant about how various aspects of my life suck, and people are kind and understanding. In real life, I lost my best friend over this because she is a braindead moron who likes to walk about in a fairyland with a silly grin on her face when there's absolutely nothing to smile about...but that's another story.

I wouldn't give as much of a crap as I would have months ago. I'm trying to move on with my life anyway. WP's disappearance would mean one less distraction for me. Plus, my friends on here are either gone or not talking to me anymore. Not that they are mad at me or anything (I don't think but if they are, meh) but this the internet and they have their own lives. Maybe they too have decided to move on.

But I have gotten a lot out of this site. I feel I can function in life partly because of WP. But if it disappears, I could live with it. I would actually be somewhat relieved because despite spending less time and trying to move on, I can't stay away from this site!! !

I would miss a lot of people here who probably have no clue I would miss them.

I would be sad, but life moves on, I worry some members here, might not take the loss to well, as WP seems to be their only outlet.

well, WP doesn't look it will dissapear, but let's say it does, very likely it will be resurrected, Alex himself might start over if it was inevitable, if not, someone else might, many members would gather again, and start over, although I believe quite a few would miss that. On the other hand, I could think of small fragmentations of the old WP due to the issues about contacting the former users. But I may be wrong.

Go on with my life, I barely come to this site anymore as it is.
