ZEGH8578, how about a virtual clone?

I know they are quite common in chat rooms.
That stuff always cracks me up ... you get someone taking the ID of some regular, changing one letter and creating a new account ... then coming into the chat room and acting like an ass.
It always makes me LOL to see people wasting their time doing that stuff.

I would never do that sort of thing of course.

The subject of having clones is an interesting one, but the world is already overpopulated as is, and as seen in the PARANOIA game system RPG, having a pack of six clones just means you get killed six times more, or have your DNA template erased if you mess things up really bad. As for having a virtual/digital clone, I would be interested in that.

Rather like an office assistant, but less dreaded, and it actually would help you. But there could be problems, due to the factor that it has free will, in short, due to it being a digital copy of you. Leading to inconveniences such as it whacking away the pointer, walking off screen (I would do that often.), and interacting with the desktop, in ways that would inconvenience you.

Or at least, I would think it would work that way. As it is how I see it, it would in general, be a folly to have a clone. Having more than one of you living at a time would simply make things worse, since sometimes it is you that annoys yourself.

I don't support the use of 'Sock Puppet' clones, or multiple usernames, I find the use thereof unethical. Unless you truly forgot your password to your account and it is lost forever.

ZEGH8578, if I do happen to obtain such genetic technology, I can make you one. Would you prefer male or female, accelerated growth (your age) or normal growth pattern (newborn)?
