Last week my brother won a free doughnut from Tim Hortons' "Rrrrol up the Rim" contest, and gave the tab from the cup to me. Today I went to Tim's at the mall and got the free doughnut and some tea, and after I finished the tea I discovered I'd won another free doughnut.

It's no big prize but I'm lucky if I win anything at all whenever that contest is out, so... :)

A friend put my name on the list for private box to see KISS live in an arena venue for free since their company owns the box. You get your own PERSON that serves you free food and drinks. xD

I finally got my student bus card :D So I'll be saving half the ticket each journey, which will save me a lot of money at the end of month.

I drove half an hour each way to the special beer store to buy some of the special mead that they had coming in today, but it did not come in. Wait for it. So, they gave me 10% off my whole purchase of other good stuff.

I won two coffees this year.

I was paying my Verizon bill & decided to check if I could get a cheaper plan & they had one. The only difference is that it's $5 cheaper for me to get 5 gigs of internet instead of 3 gigs like I had before so I'll be saving about $5 a month & getting two extra gigs.

Takayasu is having a great basho. I like his style of sumo a lot.

The bout today between two of my other favorites, Mitakeumi and Kisenosato, also made me happy. Both keep getting better with every bout this tournament.

It gets even more interesting, since Kisenosato and Takayasu train together at the same sumo gym, or stable as they are known. Normally, they don't face each other in the tournaments, but if they both keep winning every match, then it will have to happen to decide the tournament. I already want both of them to keep winning, but this makes it really intense.

I can suddenly have a decent conversation with my dad these days. Give or take, we usually talk about safe topics: politics, cars, planes or why I think +enter local building project here+ is crap for the environment, but considering he didn't speak a single word to me for almost 2 years in the past, it's an astronomical improvement from the man who once claimed he's disown me for 'being a loony', as he so succinctly put it.
