No worries, all of you^. I had a hard time of things at work, yesterday, and when I arrived her, and there were multiple members with the same avatar, I got nervous/hot poker feeling in my chest, as it was confusing to me. It made me nervous because my mind, perhaps, relies on avatars, to quickly decipher who is who. I became worried that, perhaps, Ferris might not return here, if he sees all these avatars. I hadn't realized what had occurred, or that he was a participant. I'm sorry if I over-reacted. Im still out of sorts with the avatars, but, that's my own issue to sort out, and not yours. Thank you, all, for explaining. Glad that everyone is having fun. : )

^Yes, was a little concerned maybe a few people might be thrown off by the change of avatars. But gain, was just a little fun that wont be something that is indefinite... Will likely return to my usual avatar soon.. I do understand the visual reference of avatars to the individual.. This was just something a little different and temporary... I figured as have many, if it was a little confusing, then was just to ask as a number have...

I'm really sorry if all that had made you nervous and confused, (and even more that you had hard time at work), but indeed, it was only lighthearted fun and joking, without any malicious intent. :)

Glad to know that you can understand this. : ) I have wondered if other members experience the same, and, this situation has me contemplating, changing my avatar less frequently, in case it does impact others, here, respectively.

Yes , It can throw me off sometimes to. As i cant picture their past posts and responses. However i realise people like a little change now and again and i have to flow with the river. Just sometimes the river changes course, yet it is still part of the same river ;)

Oh yeah , I totally use the avatars as visual reference all the time. If someone changes their avatar , it's a little bit of confusion ( maybe not confusion but I can't find the right word ) till my brain processed the change. I have even missed some peoples avatar when they have changed it as they are associated to the poster in my mind.

Same here :D . Now every time I see the SaveFerrets avatar, I get confused? until I see their username.

@Ferris, that's exactly how avatars effect me, in terms of missing them, etc, until I become used to the new one. I have contemplated going back to using my original avatar, as it was my avatar for over a year, and after I changed it, it seemed some people didn't know who I was for quite some time. And, like you, I couldn't figure out the word I was looking for, and settled for 'confusion' (and, still cant come up with the word to describe it).

@SSF - Yep, that's how I have been resolving the issue. Still, it somehow triggers an intense physical feeling, but, I am thinking there is possibly some underlying past experience that I am subconsciously associating with this particular experience. I don't know what it is, however.

~Thank you, both, for your input
