I had dinner with a friend and it went surprisingly well, considering how nervous I was. The conversations flowed together, both of us had a good time, and neither of us went off on awkwardly long tangents that would make the other's eyes glaze over. It all meshed perfectly.

It probably helped that we both have Asperger's, so we sorta speak the same language. xD

How I always end up saying the wrong things at the wrong time. I did that yesterday and I felt that I really hurt someone's feelings. I had a flashback of when I was 14, and my mum got on my case, when I told my dad's friends that It was going to be quiet without their 2 year old daughter around. My mum told me that I shouldn't have said that, because they might think that their daughter is too noisy. That wasn't my intention. My intention was to say that I was going to miss having that little voice around. My mum wouldn't have listened to me, anyways. I sat down at the kitchen table and cried afterwards and my mum wasn't around to hear it. That was the flashback that it brought on.
