^Interesting. I feel similar, except without the swearing. Oh, wait, nevermind that last bit. I've been at it again...Why can't I just trust that I'm a good person and leave it at that?

In retrospect, I probably just act this way just to get sympathy and build my ego up.

^I'll explain:

I feel similar in that I feel, for lack of a better word, 'bad'--both meanings of the word.

The 'without the swearing/wait, nevermind that last bit' came about because I remembered that I had spent most of the morning swearing at myself in both Japanese and English.

'I've been at it again' = 'I've been putting myself down and yelling at myself again'.

'Why can't I just trust that I'm a good person and leave it at that?' I meant this genuinely, to trust that I am as kind as people think I am and not beat myself up for no reason anymore.

'I probably just act this way' = I abuse myself verbally
'just to get sympathy and build my ego up' = to make people feel sympathy for me and make myself feel important or get attention.

I think you are right about the similarity.
Saw you and Raleigh talking about how putting yourself down is an addiction.
I am also talking about an addiction, so yes, similarity.
