At my baby cousin's bday..

.. The confetti went all over the food. Now guests have to handpick every little nits on their food.

And I get to fix the cake. I'm not sure if I'm lucky or unlucky.

^That sounds fun. I wonder if there are any in Canada...

I'm starting to get disconnected. It's getting everywhere. I can't seem to understand other people at all. On any level. They seem far away, like we're speaking different languages, or are different species. I can't understand them or this structure they have built. Even on here, I see posts people make and I just can't connect with their thinking at all. It's like I'm slipping out of phase with the human world.

^I feel disconnected, but in a different way. Maybe reconnected works better.

I would rather watch 12 hours of Stanford and MIT lectures than socialize for one hour! I am exhausted!

I didn't sleep well last night. Maybe I'll have a glass of cider and take a nap.

How to convince my mum that getting a kitty is a good idea...

^Those were my jobs when we had our old cat Monkey Pi, and it was mum who found her and took her home in the first place [but that was before I was born, so she was already old once I started walking and talking; she lived to be 21!] We're busy with sorting and getting ready to sell our extra house [long story], so I kind of want to ask for a kitty for my birthday, but I also feel like I should wait...

I want those white tennis shoes from the 90s that all those dads wear.

^^Wow 21 is very old. Sounds like it might not be the best of time right now, maybe wait until the house is sold, and things calm down. OR you can ask, and see what she says. I wanted a cat or a dog when I was a child, finally got a cat when I was 12-13. I didn't help out much with the responsibilities though.

^During her last years her fur got all clumpy and she didn't smell so good, and she yowled a lot, and eventually could barely get into the litter box. I always get super excited when I see kittens or cats, that my voices gets kind of squeaky.
