Your post gave me a philosophy (which AFAIK is original).

A martyr carries multiple burdens
A decent man carries his own burden
A crafty man finds someone else to carry his burden
A happy man laughs at all of them

My interpretation of it is that you can't be happy while carrying your cross so to speak but just making other people deal with your s**t doesn't make you happy and if you look after other people's problems, you'll end up with more of your own till it kills you.

Wow, there's a premonition if there ever was one, and I mean super seriously. Ha.

I bought a new snowboard tonight. Looks like my 2006 Burton Custom has some competition...

Oh, travel, thy name is exhaustion. I slept for probably eight hours on the longest flight, and I essentially did nothing otherwise, so I don't know why I'm so tired.

I need to get my butt out of the chair and walk to the local supermarket for food and drinks anyway. Up, Cimba self, up.

I hate the waiting game!

It's a good thing though, not a bad one.

Taupey - me too. Fortunately, the scariest waiting game is now over, and now the nervous but in a good way one has started.

Nothin' like a new Google phone leak to make your week.

I almost lost my iPhone 3GS for good again this week. I was one credit card swipe away from picking up a Samsung Focus WM7 phone or the Samsung Captivate - the AT&T version of the Galaxy S with North American 3G(850/1900 bands).

I wish VH1's Totally Obsessed was still running on TV. I would wait a couple of years while amassing a ton of Alice in Wonderland merchandise, and then I would audition for it.

Of course, after waiting all that time for the messenger to load, no one is online who could say something actually useful.

The top of my head feels like it's going to float off.

So.Many.Insecurities.Sayeth my brain "He will enjoy her company so much that he'll decide that he only wants to talk to her from now on! He will decide than IRL romance is better than online friendship, so much so that there is no need for the online friendship! He will decide that online isn't real and stop caring for you! He will become so overwhelmed that he'll never talk to anyone again, and you won't know if he's dead or alive!" Telling myself that this is probably irrational is not helping; I tried that and I'm still very scared and I wish I had someone to hug me and reassure me. I am trying to be happy/hopeful for what is really a good situation for him, but... yeah.

I see the trend that our Resident Ghost and I started is beginning to catch on. And I think it's awesome. 8)

That show screwed Worm Quartet over

VH-1's purpose, however, was to make everybody on Totally Obsessed look totally obsessed - and this, through editing and severe fact manipulation (honestly, do the math on their "playing Pac-Man every day on his lunch break" thing...) is what they did. And the full-on performance of "Pac-Man Is Naked" they taped, which I assumed would at least get me some BMI royalties, was cut to just the intro followed by a snippet from the Red Hot Chili Peppers' "Can't Stop."
