i thought you had suffered a head trauma. if so, you would not be undiagnosed.

so of cause I'm going to be poorly educated , can't use that excuse any more that I've recovered I suppose. :o

who told you you recovered? if your brain injury is undiagnosed, then so is your recovery.

maybe just relax a bit and let people talk to you without being so bristling-ly defensive?

if you are hostile and not trusting of people for no good reason, then they will shut you out because they will feel that they do not deserve to be considered in such an ill fashion.

It was a joke, hence the smiley face at the end.

"many a serious word is spoken in jest".

it seems like many people can slap a "smiley" on the end of whatever they say to shield them from the antagonistic replies they would otherwise cop if they did not end it with a "smiley" (disclaimer).

"sorry i was only joking" is a standard type of social armor plating that i am sure has been around for thousands of years.
---------------
people who are grammatically educated enough to notice his incorrect spelling of the word "too" would also be smart enough to overlook that minor pothole and still be able to understand the sentence.

if some people are not grammatically learned enough to have noticed the error, then they would have read the word "to" as "too" as well, because they would subconsciously draw a parallel phonetically between the 2 words and therefore the meaning would not be lost on them.

it therefore is not necessary to caution anyone (who reads his post) about his errant usage of the word "to".

and if it was all just a joke, can you tell me what the punch line is? i do not understand it.

I think I've posted this thought before, but a formal meet or greet up of anyone or anybody is a somewhat stressful event to me. There is an ingrained cultural formality that smacks of plastic-ness that we are all condition trained to do, and it feels like a bit of that, an "act," and I sense it on the other end of this as well. Oftentimes when I read this, as standing there during a "greet/meet," I strangely become distracted by this observation of mine and this escalates the oddity and anxiety flows from off of this. The effect is as two identical poles meeting on a magnet-- a pushing away or repelling -- * run away.*

But now, with no pressure to this, I eventually find a natural way to interface this and it flows.

It was honestly a phrase said in lighthearted jest. If you can't put up with it, just ignore it and don't ramble on. Goodbye and have a nice day.

That's OK! I see your point; I just like to joke around a lot. Image
Glad we're still on good terms.

Aussiebloke, I've never been mentioned in any threads like this one either and I exude positivity, no matter what's going on IRL. I rarely speak about any negative stuff on here, a bit in the parents' forum, but my posts are first and foremost positive. I do often wonder what it is about me (Is it because I'm married with a child, i.e. boring?) But it's really not that important, on the scale of things. Then again, I never mention anyone at all, because I don't like missing anyone out. Try not to worry about it.

The things I notice about the people who seem to be popular in these sort of threads:

They tend to be young; usually in their teens or early 20s.

They post a lot in the random chat type threads, and seem to be comparatively skilled in light-hearted social banter.

They are usually quite willing to chat with anyone who joins in on their threads, although, quite reasonably, they do talk to their friends more.

So youth, social chitchat ability, prolific posting and friendliness seems to be the winning combination.

That may be the truth though I'm really annoyed at myself as I still don't get it (must be my low IQ) , many people are young and have chit chat ability, in the 100's of millions in fact , it still doesn't explain why their so remarkable, some one with aspergers would only bother with remarkable people I imagine (anything else would be a waste of time).

I wouldn't mind meeting these people just to see what the fuss is all about though I'd have to be pleasant to them and that sounds like more trouble than it's worth.

And no this is not a crap in this thread post,

I just wish I could get it and I suspect I am not alone in my thoughts about this?

Am I ?

Quite a few of the newer members would be fun to meet, as well as the veterans who have been here awhile that are around my age. :chin:

I wouldn't mind meeting b9 and aussiebloke too; I'd like to show them that I'm not how they thought I was. Though I suppose my lack of talking wouldn't help much there. :)

Too asocial and too much of a hermit to go ahead with any of these things though.

Well I thought you where Friends with her all ready ?

I guess I shouldn't stereotype hunters being a gamer myself especially so , when I got a lot of that BS in the 80's and 90's though not so much these days,

I guess I can sort of respect hunters for their honesty , unlike the supermarket shoppers who prefer to outsource their cruelty to some one else, out of sight out of mind I suppose.

I even had a 'friend' tell me he couldn't slaughter an animal and eat it , yet he still eats meat though
