^ I feel your pain. I need to get a new vehicle, my 2002 Subaru is falling apart and seems to have a new issue every day, I don't think it is worth it to get it fixed, but all the used cars I'm looking at are really expensive.

Also, I haven't been able to eat anything in over 24 hours. I think it's the new medication.

Lets see..
1, I've not driven in quite some time now ever since a bad car accident, though not due to physical damage rather psychological uneasiness about being in that environment again, if this makes sense?

2.Speaking of appetite, as this might sound absurd, rarely do I feel a sense of hunger, though I eat regardless.Don't ask me to explain this as, it's been part of my being ever since I was a little kid up to this point in my X-men mutant lifetime..

Makes sense to me. I rarely drive and I hate it because it makes me really nervous, but am going to have to start driving more if I want to go to school again or get a job.

I was able to finally eat some plain rice last night.

I don't know why, but I don't really feel like doing anything today.

I truly wonder how much damage I have incurred from inhaling something that the tenant beneath has been manufacturing for over a year now..Luckily, I'll be moving out to a better place on the 16th but, still wonder how much damage has been done unto my system in the long run thanks to Mr. Methamphetamine manufacturer who lives in the apartment unit beneath me..

1st off, there is no no for apologies as, I fully understand, 2nd, I know what think sheets of ice can be like to remove from one's pathways leading to automobile to home and around such. 3rd, you need to rest.

:-) Thank you :-)

I'm actually kind of glad I put myself through all that, now. Because to my surprise I'm not sore at all today, and the shoulder and hip that I worked very hard (using one of my boot heels to break ice, by bringing it down hard) feel completely fine. That means my health is finally improving - even six months ago, I'd have been limping around for at least a week, and my shoulder would have been sore at least that long.

I was overworked into exhaustion and near collapse before retiring, two years ago (the instant I could!). Since the job offered a pension and I am my sole means of support, I just had to endure. Didn't know if I'd ever fully recover. Now there's some real hope.

But you know what? Tomorrow I'm going to the local outdoor store and getting an ice axe. Grrr.

And maybe some woad, while I'm about it. Apparently I'm the spitting image of my Scottish great grandma anyway.

^^ :-)

I couldn't find the image I was looking for yesterday... it's from Pratchett's The Last Hero and rather more suited to my current estate, but sadly lacking in ice axes:

Image

Allow me to introduce Vena the Raven-Haired, barbarian warrior princess and grandma, as portrayed by Paul Kidby. Vena the Formerly Raven-Haired. I'd be Esme the Still Ginger-Haired, but the general mood is right :-P.

(Moral of story: don't call granny an old battle-axe unless you really, really mean it :-) )

Have a great day, cecil, with lots of cat goodness in it!

(edit in: yes, those are knitting needles.)

I don't read fiction so don't know who Esmerelda Weatherwax is but your avatar always reminds me of the painting by Sydney Curnow Vosper titled Salem , apparently you can see a horned devil in the shawl ?

This does not make me unhappy so I don't know why I'm posting it here

I don't own an EK anymore.
Maybe this will motivate me to find a DC2 to build up, but I can't afford to build up a DC2 and a Vega. :hmph:

The f#cking US post-office lost another package I ordered. It was out for delivery Saturday but didn't come in. I stayed up this morning incase it would come in because the lazy dumb-asses won't use the parcel box on Sunday service since we don't get regular mail & instead leave packages on our front steps which is rite next to the sidewalk so my packages have gotten jacked on Sundays they deliver if I'm not up or home. I got a message that the package I was supposed to get yesterday was delivered 5/7 minutes after the time it was marked as delivered but I didn't hear anyone come to the door. The message said it was left by garage or other location & we do NOT have a garage. I don't think I ever seen that message since I moved here over 5 years ago. I figured they misdelivered the package but checked by the front & back door as well as the parcel box just incase they left it in there & said the wrong thing on the slip cuz that has happened before where they left a package in there on a Sunday for 1ce & put the wrong location on the slip. It was NOT in any of those places. Thankfully this is something I ordered from a seller through Amazon so I can get Amazon to refund my cost & I'll reorder it but it's still a little bit of a hassle & something similar happened with a package through Amazon half a month ago except it was not a Sunday & the message did not say it was left at garage; the message may of said front door or mailbox but the package was NOT in any of those places & was marked as delivered at a time we do not get mail. Thankfully Amazon refunded my money at the end of last month but I'm worried that Amazon will start thinking I'm making this up about the packages getting lost or misdelivered because of how frequently this happens. Things like this are reasons the GOP gives for why the US government should not be involved with health care.
