:) I remember my dog would lie down in all sorts of awkward and seemingly painful ways; among other things I saw him lying over a vacuum cleaner once, with his hip part on top of it. Looked so painful, but he was fast asleep. On the other hand, when laid down on a bed he would walk in circles and scratch at duvets and sheets. Go figure!

My turtles also had a habit of sleeping on top of their house with their heads hanging down. I also saw Nemo sleep in the aquarium stretching her neck to put her head on the roof of her housing.

Animals sure know how to make themselves comfortable!

I have two dogs, both Bichon Frises.

This is George - he's 12 years old:

And this is Ray, who just turned 1 this last week!

They have a very interesting and entertaining relationship! Bichons get jealous - yes, jealous - of one another: you cannot pet one without the other barging in and trying to wrestle the other! Lots of barking is involved. They're very hyperactive as puppies (which is why sadly many owners give up on them and give them away) but as they get older they mellow out a bit and they're great dogs, hypoallergenic too and they don't shed. George is an old guy but he's muscular and in good shape and will wrestle and play with Ray all day, though sometimes he has to go upstairs or on the couch where Ray can't reach him.

I was at the pet store today, and I saw a mouse with her babies and it was awwww.
She had so many of them! There must have been at least a dozen. I wondered how such a tiny animal can have so many babies at once. Most of them were almost half the size of her but there was a very tiny one, the runt I guess. But she was cleaning it and caring for it like the others. Nearly all of them had black fur like the mother but one of them was white. I saw another adult mouse in the cage but it wasn't white. Maybe it was a second mother which would explain all the babies but she wasn't caring for them.

^ Glad to hear that you enjoyed it :) It's so nice to see the awesome pets y'all have/had.

@ thehandler: George and Ray are lovely! Pets can definitely be jealous of each other. Good to see that George has a place where he can get away when he needs to. My late dog Viggo was very patient with puppies, but when he reached old age (14), his patience decreased. He couldn't put up with it for very long, unlike when he was younger.

@ lostonearth35: Mice apparently have an average of 10 babies per litter.

@ Beau: she's gorgeous! I wouldn't be too sure, maybe she was planning next year's prank!

What kinds of snakes do you have?

As far as my pets go, I have two cats. I've had hamsters and a bird before, but I grew up with cats :) I also had a Dachshund.

I would love to have a rosy boa but it's too cold where I live to have one.

Oh wow! Poor dog must have been scared. I think tetanus shots are a good thing when one deals with animals a lot.

My turtles could scratch my arms when they were eager (hungry) or impatient (wanting to be set down).
