My dad and I had an experience like that once. Incomprehensible instructions, nothing made sense, put it together and took it apart again 3 times. The instructions had no words, just a picture of what it looks like when it's done.
And when we finally finished, we noticed a piece of paper in the box that we hadn't seen before, titled "How to Assemble"

Woke up at 2 in the afternoon, did a load of wash, made 2 new kandi bracelets, took out the trash, nearly had a panic attack, watched 3 episodes of a show
