1. My brother and I had a treehouse with levered boards to retrieve his GI Joe paratroopers after they flew down. He's three years my senior but he doesn't remember this at all.

2. The day that my father cut down that tree, he became gravely ill and spent nearly four weeks in a coma from which he temporarily recovered.

3. I had one of the branches carved into a heart shape and I keep it with my other nostalgic treasures.
