Trying to get up enough steam to finish painting my toolshed today and tomorrow (being realistic), and came across this, which cheered me up tremendously (even though I use a brush and am verrrrrrrry slow).

^^ I swear I am not trying to cyberpester you, but yea on the coffee.

And on another track entirely, I had a lazy bright idea and holy crap it worked!

I have drapes in my home and in cold weather there's noticeable convection = cold air comes out underneath. Frustrating, but more importantly it wastes heat!

I don't yet have the skills to put up pelmets (little enclosures that cover the curtain rod tops and prevent the convection) but I realized that skinny pool noodles might fit the space between curtain rod and ceiling *exactly*.

Hot damn and hallelujah! I bought a bunch on sale recently and last night I put them up above every curtain rod in the house. It stayed a lot warmer last night. And there is NO CONVECTION coming out under ANY of the drapes!

It worked! It worked!

My parents seem to be fighting much less of late. They still argue constantly but there is less 'venom' and escalating. Whatever the case it means less stress upon me as there have been times in the past where I've had to get physically between them, or threaten to call the police.
