Thus far today nobody raped, physically injured, exterminated, filed a civil lawsuit against me. Nobody has told me off yet.

The new Starbucks contains four bathrooms. All labelled "gender neutral"

How politically correct, cute, funny, Democratic, not homophobic

Usually other Starbucks the same size has one or at most two bathrooms, and a line.....

And I have gone to plenty of Starbucks

I finally finished painting my toolshed today, and it was perfect weather for it: cool enough to work quickly without overheating, breezy enough for the paint to dry quickly but not too quickly (with a bucket of clean water to dip the brush). Freude, Freude: there's going to be a LOT of rain next week and I needed to get this done so the paint would cure in time.

Damn I'm tired.

Damn I'm content.

Oh cute! Hi, Boo!

I have Lulu on the chair next to me. She likes to steal my chair when I get up to get more coffee.

When she acts up (she is a tortoiseshell, and tortitude is very real, although she has very good self-control) I call her Lhulhu, even though she does not have flabby claws.

(Edit in: two cats here. Emily is the one who likes to gnaw gently on me, while purring and gazing off into the middle distance.)

Managing to toil away on some creative projects away from the gloom here and there. Also, I feel happy when I can hold perspective and see that I am getting somewhere different very slowly but persistently pecking away and each day I will surely get further away from the nowhere I used to be stuck even if it seems I am moving in glue :|
