That is a good deal.

- Great cup of coffee
- Unexpectedly getting more yard work done than I thought
- Watching science documentaries. I love science
- unexpectedly visited by a woman who was Helen of Troy in my world, she was so bloody beautiful. She was also a very nice girl and comfortable to be around.

The mail carrier ACTUALLY came to the door with a package that required a signature instead of just leaving a delivery slip in the box like they almost always do. I was also ACTUALLY up at that time by a fluke so I was able to sign for it. This means I don't have to go to the post-office to pick it up like I almost always have to do. I had to go to the post today to pick up two packages for my girlfriend that she ordered off CrapMart(WalMart). I woul of had to go to the post again tomorrow or within the next couple days to pick up my package but now I don't have to.

Surgery (Monday) went OK without any post-op complications. I'm still pretty groggy but in almost no pain. The most important things of all - I asked for help (transport) from people in realspace and they came through for me totally willingly; then the entire team working on me was so incredibly kind! Both things were really noticeable.

This will seem strange to anyone who hasn't been through something similar, but I'm now very glad I had only local anesthesia. That was enough to forestall severe pain (because they were kind and genuinely did not want me to hurt). Being awake, I was totally aware of how kind, caring and gentle everyone was. That seems to have helped heal some very old emotional pain (a near-fatal, horrible post-op experience long ago), and *that* is a mercy I would never have expected.

^Indeed, we can experience things via our current events/circumstances, that can heal wounds from the past, or, simply restore our faith, where it may have been lost. I tend not to realize when I am in need of compassion, until the moment it is shown/given to me, which can be profound. Glad to hear your surgery was a success and you were handled with so much care.

answer- my morning walk and my tea.

I like local anesthetic better, too.

My knee swelling has gone down today.

Having a new friend around for lunch in the weekend, we're planning on rambling about my local area and then just heading back to the house. Probably sounds too normal to be remarkable in any way, but it is remarkable for me.
