My last mobile phone cost so much to retrieve messages that I refused to retrieve them. I told everyone not to leave messages but people kept doing so and in the end all the retrieved messages killed the phone. I never replaced the phone and everyone is 'but we can't get hold of you' and I'm 'good'

Almost all phone messages to my phone can get ignored, without undue theatrical outcome.

It would be a good idea for me to save $$. Either that, or panhandle more often

Because I only have had minimum wage jobs. And got fired. And I do not know how to do anything worth above minimum wage. Furthermore, I have six personality disorders diagnosed. So.

Yes it is my fault that the phone won't load voicemail. But I am too lazy and stupid to fix it. And too broke to hire someone to do so.

I have a physical answerphone for my landline and the message is "I'm probably listening to this, so leave me a message and there is a good chance I'll pick up."
The message filters out the telemarketers real well. As their computers auto call and auto disconnect the instant they detect an answer phone.

But people dislike it - I don't care, less calls for me!
Got my first cellphone in 2007, first smartphone 2015, don't have facebook.
Not having a cellphone or facebook really stumps most people - they just can't seem to fathom people who are not normies.

Got an unexpected large cheque in the mail from the government, no idea why.
