the postal service here SUCKS. they repeatedly lose my mail including my bills, 2 of which have ended up with people who tried to steal my ID. as much as it hate it, I am being forced to go all electronic billing, due to the inexcusable unreliability of the USPS. it makes me boiling mad. :wall:

she sent some equipment back to her cable company. the post office lost it and gave her the runaround when she tried to track it. cost her a bundle, but not as bad as identity theft. very sorry you're dealing with that. come to think of it, we do occasionally get a neighbor's piece of mail. i always just take it over to them. i wonder if they get ours and toss it.

it is somebody in my covenant community with the same addy except for the direction indicator at the end, they have a W and I have an E, but the careless post office is always switching their stuff with my stuff, I get their stuff all the time and diligently send it back to the post office [was sternly warned to never open their mailbox to put something inside, by law only a postal employee or law enforcement [with a warrant] may do so. anyways, I suspect it is them but I can't prove it, they are pretty dodgy people IMHO. I tried to complain to the post master but their phone system just gives me the runaround. it is a crooked situation IMHO.

i try to knock and hand them their mail with an explanation. i know it's illegal, but if i can't reach the recipients, i use their mailbox. how will the post office find out? my neighbors aren't gonna complain. when i had a paper route, one of my clients insisted that i put her paper in her mailbox. one of my sisters is a higher-up at the paper and says if i would have been caught, nothing would happen to me, but the newspaper business would have had to pay a fine.

last time I tried to knock on their door, I was made to feel distinctly unwelcome. they are dodgy people. they are just the type of people to make a stink if I touch their mailbox. I live surrounded by those types of yahoos. bad neighborhood.
