I may have the most insane tinnitus on the planet.
Discovered i can make my ear emit a high pitched drill noise by pressing on certain points outside my ear.
How is this possible?
Also makes a shrill screech when I burp.
And then randomly makes nail gun sounds which are totally irregular.
Then there's the constant engine noise underneath all that.
And the dentist drill.
And the sudden flat tyre noise.
And let's not forget the alarm sound.
And the occasional buzz.

I never need to come out.
I never need to strut nor hide about it either.

What holds me back is simply sheer pride and ego than fear of shame, embarrassment or the prospect of teasing and persecution.

No need to tell or explain to people I'm autistic just because of certain traits or symptoms or behaviors.

No need to tell people I'm asexual and likely aromantic just because I have no sexual attraction towards anyone and not having interest in sex and romantic relationships.

No need to tell people I'm agender just because I don't think, act overly or feminine enough.

No need to justify myself and whatever stands out from me.
If I'm being irresponsible because of it, then I'm irresponsible. No need to elaborate why.

and the fax machine sound.
and the trillion mosquitos on helium, in a radioactive tin can.
and the radio static distortion, combined with heartbeats and underwater helicopters.

When I hold a landline phone to one ear, the person's voice makes my other ear pop.
I guess that means I'm an airhead.

Sorry you're experiencing this one.

My mother has something that sounds somewhat similar where it's not just caused by damaged cochlear hairs, but other nerves, muscles and tubes, which leads to a variety of sounds and not just the usual ringing noise. She has autoimmune peripheral nerve and neuromuscular conditions, which are likely doing it. Hers comes with bad hyperacusis too.

I have the boring old EEEEEEEEEEE from too much shooting indoors without protection on (fun things), which is simple cochlear hair damage. Though to be fair, I do have a damaged right vestibular apparatus from such, which isn't that common, and it causes balance issues. Which I've mentioned, but it shows two separate manifestations of tinnitus, the boring old acoustic trauma one (mine), and the more complicated type with often unknown etiology (trauma can set if off, though). I have a bit of hyperacusis.

It took me until sometime in my 20s to realize that that sound I always hear is what people mean when they talk about ears “ringing.” There is no clanging or rhythm to it like a bell.

I mostly just get that swarm-of-mosquitos sound constantly. Occasionally I get a sound like they use for hearing tests on top of it for two seconds or so, but not very often. Otherwise there’s no variation. But it sometimes pushes me over the edge when I’m at or near sensory overload.

I used to be able to write poetry, however these days, I'm completely unable to do such literally.

I once earned £300.00 + expenses for dressing up as a French maid for half a day and tickling round with a feather duster.

My rational self is a safe person.
My irrational self is not.

I hate it.
I wanna get rid of this irrational self. I've been fighting it for as long as I could remember...

And the only time I had a break from that part of myself was either by a phenomenon related to ego loss where it doesn't exists or dead -- or that time when I'm acting, thinking and feeling like my fully functioning and grown up self that can regulate and control that irrational self.

I suppose you could say that I'm hedonistic.

I read my old posts and I wonder what happened to me over the past 10 years.

Tuesday is the only day of the week when I allow myself to eat cheese.

I call it cheese day Tuesday.

People think the same about me as well.

I'm 32, but many people think I look like an adolescent.

I was born in 1974, but a lot of my favourite things are from 1964.

I was born in 1973, though I've always had a fascination for music/movie/books, etc. from all spans of time from 1940's to now, making me as being weird by most neurotypes.
