Lady popping in - hope you don't mind. Just wanted to say that I really think there should be a forum for the guys in the age/gender area. Why haven't they given you one??? It hardly seems fair.

And errrrr - what's with the guns guys? Seems quite a lot of you have one or want one. Wouldn't make me want to date you - it would have me running in the other direction!! !

They appeal to two of the human male's most basic instinsts; "protect my family" and "go kill some food." Plus there is an appreciation for an efficient well-engineered tool.

I don't feel a need to own one myself, but really enjoyed myself the couple times friends took me to the shooting range.

Lol, to each their own. If anyone would not date me for my ownership I heartily endorse their right to stand by that decision. I have a 22 semi-auto tactical and the next time I really have cash to blow I'd love to get a good 9mm for the more plinking at the more standard ranges.

Was watching a documentary about the development of the human race last night and the presenter spoke to hunter-gatherers about what they saw their roles as being. Men hunted, Women gathered. They did not evince any other roles apart from from both teaching their various skills to children.

When asked what made a man attractive the women all agreed he had to be: a good hunter to provide meat and honey and not greedy or lazy in the camp. They scoffed at any idea that physical attraction came into it.

The most successful hunters were men in their mid-late 40's because they were so patient and thorough.

Just shows to me that having a clear role in life is very important.

I don't own a gun but I can shoot quite well. I can also throw a knife, an axe and I can use a lariat (lasso).

I feel manly because I know I am a man.
I have no idea how a gun could make anybody feel manly at all.
I know women who shoot and they are no more or less manly then men I know that shoot.

Just don't point any off that stuff in my direction lol

Do they have options for decreasing the size? I'm starting to have back problems, but at least I can lean forward to support myself. I'd rather live a normal life though
