Who remembers what a VHS is?

My grandpa used to record old Godzilla movies for me that were on TV onto VHS tapes, I remember in particular Son of Godzilla.

I still have a VHS player and about 50 tapes.

My mother has a working Eight Track built into her stereo credenza.

We had Eight Track in the car for years too.

8 track done well had at least the potential [due to doubled tape speed] to sound better than cassettes ever could. but it had terminal design flaws that led to premature tape wear/overheating. by the time a clever inventor fixed those flaws, people forgot about 8 track in favor of cassettes.
