Listening to The Sound of Music soundtrack sends me on mind trips to the German and Austrian Alps.

I love watching "Lost" on Netflix too :D Although I think that so far the first season isn't as interesting as the "Lost" fans claim - maybe the next seasons are going to get more interesting - you know, Man in Black and so on...

I don't need video game music to distract myself from my reality any more. I'd rather embrace my differences and listen to light, cheery Schlager music.

Unlike, well, probably most of people who practices meditation and any forms of relaxation, me focusing on my breath means "my breathing takes sensory processing precedence over everything outside it and had to fight it to be in the present", not "being in a mindful present".

'Focusing on my breath' doesn't expand my awareness and alertness, it shrinks it instead and it can very much distract me.
It does not slow me down, it can potentially give me this false sense of urgency.

It doesn't relax me.
It reminds me of how much of a hassle breathing is to me to a point it can sometimes trigger my 'allergy like symptoms' that disrupts me on a daily basis if I happened to take my mind off the fact that I have this bothersome chronic condition.

It doesn't calm me down. If anything, it might give me this inflammatory symptom.

It can put me a step away from survival modes instead of going away from it...
And I was forced to figure myself how to get out of it quicker than I tend to fall into.

Oh, and...
Lowering my heart rate and blood pressure would be detrimental to me, unlike most people's recommendations to do so.

It will make my blood flow posture related issues worse.
This also means fatigue and brainfog. Having to fight those symptoms does not lead to relaxation, but pure frustration.

The heaviness sensation due to said symptoms will not help me ground, but will make me frustratingly unreliable. And it's unpleasant when trying to relax with it.

It's easily mistaken for depression. Best I could describe would be "Too relaxed". There's no google answers for me related to that.

Yes.
Even my mind-body is being "backwards".

I love the Strong German stereotype. I like to show the world that I'm capable of getting my own doors and easily while using my walker. I want people to see me as physically strong that way.

A lot of songs from the 60s remind me of my time in college. To The Ends of The Earth by Englebert Humperdinck is one such example.
