Nope. It’s #1. I lost the 45 pounds two times—but not in 1990.

I’m glad you had a nice day with your bosom companions :D

Thanks! Yes, it was a nice day. I even slept for a few hours tonight.

1. I'm ashamed to admit I ordered more books tonight. I've ordered about 25 in the past week (not all Brontë).

2. I decided to renovate my bedroom in the autumn so I've been searching for fabrics and flooring while also designing some Brontë focal points.

3. I also went jogging for an hour, popped in to visit a neighbour, and decided I will throw her a baby shower in July.

It would be swell if the lie wasn’t #3—but I suspect that it is.

It seems like this renovation will be quite involved. I really dislike this sort of thing. You must be good at interior decorating. Will IKEA be part of all this?

In 1993:

1. I went to Houlton, Maine on a whim. I stayed in a bed and breakfast. I met a nice librarian, but lost her number. I took a picture of an abadobed cabin, and gave it to my mother.

2. I went to Long Lake, NY with my lesbian friend. We went skinny-dipping. Nothing sexual happened, though. She took a helicopter tour, but I refused to go with her,

3. I started going to the gym in mid-1993. This led to a 2.5-year odyssey which led to me running the NYC Marathon in November, 1995.

1 for you, Mr. Wolfman. I've never heard mention of this librarian woman, although you do seem quite skilled at misplacing telephone numbers...

Yes, 3 is my lie. Can you even imagine how out of character that would be for me? LOL. My neighbour is about 68 years old and divorced, which makes it even more ironic.

Ikea won't be involved. My brother's best friend whom I've known since childhood is in the construction, reno and design business. My dad was kind of his mentor which makes it more special. So, he's doing the job for me. New windows installed, full paint, vintage wallpaper, new flooring and floorboards / baseboard, perhaps a retro chandelier as I mentioned before. Maybe add some insulation. YAY. I can't wait. (I don't think I'll need new furniture but if I do he will hand-craft).

Back to sleep. I'm knackered. Will play later.

Sleep well, Sweet Isabella ❤️

I was a little scared of calling her when I got home. I had some notion of the “purity” of our interaction. I also thought she was too far away.

This was just like 3 years before I was connected to the Internet. If we had the Internet—who knows?

Thank you! I did (alongside male kitty)!

What was your answer? I'm starting to lean toward 2, but my final answer remains 1.

Here are some of my American memories:

1. I went to the Pocono Mountains in New York state and rode horses. Some of the suites had really tacky bath tubs designed and raised high to look like champagne glasses, but I didn't get that type of room.

2. I went skinny-dipping in the Colorado River of Lake Mead, Nevada (near the Hoover Dam) with a girl, a guy, a powerboat and one too many bottles of Corona.

3. I won a trip for two anywhere in the world (I forget the price limit), from Corona when I purchased the box of beer.

4. I went zip-lining in a forest in Oregon, but got stuck in the middle because of a technical malfunction and nearly died from fear. I had to be rescued by a cherry-picker type of vehicle.

The answer is #3. I didn’t start the odyssey until later.

I believe it is #3 for you, too.

You should see the movie “It’s a Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood,” about Fred Rogers.

I might not be around until midnight or 1 AM your time. I will be running errands.

My lie was actually 4. I've tried zip-lining once before but it wasn't in Oregon and I didn't get stuck.

I did win a trip from Corona! It was a pub-sponsored event where you could win a Corona beer fridge or the top (trip) prize. I got the trip prize! WOOT.

Where did you go on the trip?

1. I had a one-time affair with a red-headed woman when I was 17.

2. I met my fiancée when I was 17.

3. When I was 17, I tried to run away twice.

I was in Los Angeles when I won the trip, and the travel had to originate from LA yet be round-trip. I used it to get home with my brother, then we went back to LA a few months later. Lame, I know, but I was broke and it worked for me / us.

I think 2. I can't remember your story about engagement but 17 sounds young. I believe you were engaged twice.

1. I lived with a woman almost twice my age in the late 80s

2. She was quite a conventional Christian.

3. I once went with her to a “feast” where goats were sacrificed.

I wish that was a Lie.....but it wasn’t. I didn’t actually see the goats.

But I know this happened. She was into the “Spiritual Baptist” religion with East Indian and Nigerian Yoruba Shango elements.

She would also speak in a sort of “Dutch” when she spoke in tongues.

Sorry I upset you, Isabella.

1. I’ve never been in a hospital overnight.

2. I’ve had arthroscopic surgery on both knees.

3. I’ve had pneumonia.

You didn't upset me but she sounds like a train wreck of a person :(

I think you have mentioned most of the above comments before. Hmmm.... I'm trying to remember. I know you haven't been overnight. I know you had arthroscopy on (one?) (both?) knees... Hmmm... can't remember pneumonia but I don't think so. I think 3 is your lie. Forgive me if I've forgotten 8)
