I know what that is like, especially with the fact, that a great deal of corporations these days use those silly psychology test of sorts, where it asks you questions regarding certain scenarios and based on what you choose determine if, the company said sees that as fitting the so called employee profile they want. I read about why companies use such absurd techniques, as back in the 90's there was a great deal of flakey, deceptive, and unproductive employees that wound up costing companies lots of money and time to hire someone else with more beneficial psychological traits.;however, these so called psych tests of sorts often wind up dismissing autistic persons, since we tend to act or react in various ways given various situations often of a non- NT nature.

Anyways, I hope your able to find employment as, I'm hoping to do such in the next month or two.
I never had problems with those psych tests. It's pretty easy for me to know what the correct answer is. I may not know it if I was actually in that situation cuz I don't think that fast but when I'm reading it as a question with multiple choice answers, it's pretty easy to guess the rite one most all the time.
What causes me major problems with finding employment is that I have a lot of disabilities & the jobs I can do tend to have lots of other people applying for them. I got told by job assistance programs to call & ask for a manager to check on my app but when I called, I would get told things like how they don't have time to look for an individuals job app & they tend to hire before they go through all the apps. So calling & asking my app to be checked on was a waist of time & just caused me extra anxiety. What I needed help with doing my job searching was for someone to help me talk to the company & line up an interview for me & maybe help convince them to take a chance on me. Voc rehab & other programs that were supposed to help me just kept telling me to submit apps & keep asserting myself & being told those things regularly were absolutely no help at all.

Well, I'm in the last time of using vocational rehab as, I have used them many times before, and never had a satisfying outcome;therefore, this is the last time as, I was constantly being told I did not have the necessary skills even when I demonstrated the fact, I was willing to learn such at any cost/(sighs) Now, I'm at a crossroad as, I spent a great deal of time to earn my A+ computer certification and honestly, I don't want to find myself in computer tech support call center as, I detest that, for I have always felt more comfortable with doing the actual work on a computer system with only occasional social interaction. No, I'm not hermit nor anti-scocial, I just don't so well in such environments as, often I even screw up in job interviews so, I'd feel more comfortable in such a setting if this makes sense.

Dear nick sir, I sincerely & brutally honest hope your able to achieve meaningful employment without a bunch of crap or red tape getting in your way.

Nick and Kazanscube re: Voc Rehab.
VR most of the time is largely useless. They process paper and then "prove" they are helping people. In order to get them to do something real and helpful, you can request help from the Disability Rights organization in your state. The name is always Disability Rights [state name]. So the one I work with is Disability Rights Florida.

The good thing about DR is they know the law and the VR people can't bs them. If you are looking for a job and can test high enough to demonstrate you have the skills, they have to assign you a job coach, who should help you do just the things Nick was talking about. The job coach looks for employment opportunities and helps set up appointments and even will go to the appointment, talk to the employer and sort of pave the way for you.

Unfortunately, as with many government programs, you have to be persistent even to the point of being annoying (but nicely.) That's where an advocate with DR helps, they can do the heavy lifting in the advocacy arena.

Believe me, I get that VR is mostly worthless, but if the pressure is put on, they can be made to help you get a job, provide you with adaptive equipment, get a job coach who follows you at your job for 3-6 months.

Oh, and my unhappy thing today was a lawyer who played a really dirty trick in the hearing today.

Someone from property maintenance came & replaced the smoke alarm that the fire department took down a couple weeks ago cuz the carbon monoxide detector kept going off. Anyways he came to the back door instead of the front for some weird reason. We have some stuff by the door kinda preventing it from opening all the way. I had to move it out the way. After he left I was moving the stuff back. One of the things there was a pack of two florescent lights. The kitchen uses florescent lights & I think the fixtures are going bad. The lights flicker alot even with new bulbs & the last time I replaced the bulbs, they went bad a couple months later. The light barely lights. We mentioned this in a letter we sent to property management along with the rent about two months ago. We also mentioned some other issues. We haven't heard back from management & nobody came to fix anything except for the smoke alarm. We've been using a lamp in there. Anyways... we had the new pack of lights near the back door for maintenance to use when they came to check the lights out; we're responsible for replacing light bulbs. I knocked the pack of lights over when I was moving things back & one of them broke. Very thankfully nothing hit me & the cat was not in the kitchen. I swept up the bigger pieces & then vacuumed. I also rinsed out the cat's water dish, dry food dish, & wet cat food dish since they were close to where the light broke. I know it's kinda my fault for not being more careful but I also kinda blame property management because the only reason the lights were out there instead of being picked up somewhere else is so maintenance could use the bulbs. Property manger talks like he's such a great manager but he acts like he's too busy to do a damned thing he's supposed to do to keep the apartments up. My girlfriend is spending the night with a relative. I texted her about what happened & I haven't heard back yet. I don't think(& really hope) she won't be too upset with me & be more glad me & the cat weren't hurt & maybe worried about how well I cleaned up.

Why would she be upset?

She wasn't. I was just worrying too much like I do sometimes.
I'm sorry your ankle is bothering you again. It may help to try & take it easy for the next couple days.

So, your not autistic? Then what phenomena do you tend to present, in a sincere manner?
