I can no longer have tea in the afternoon. I sleep through the night if I don't have my afternoon tea.

I see the Wikipedia article Grunya Sukhareva interesting. This fragment I may consider interesting: She initially used the term "schizoid psychopathy", "schizoid" meaning "eccentric" at the time, but later replaced it with "autistic (pathological avoidant) psychopathy" to describe the clinical picture of autism. The article was created almost two decades before the case reports of Hans Asperger and Leo Kanner, which were published while Sukhareva's pioneering work remained unnoticed.

I prefer Germany over Britain. The music is nicer, the architecture is prettier, there's mountains, forests and green spaces and Germany has a much lower abortion rate. I've always wanted to say that. If anyone tries to destroy my spirit about all this, I will kill them with my kindness and you know who you are. A lot has changed since the 1930s.

I'm not happy. Bit of a no-shit-Sherlock for people who've read my whining since I became an active poster here, but yes.

If someone tells me that I have it all better -- that everyone has it worse.
Like I got roof over my head, not worried where I'm getting my next meal or practically living like an oppressed minority in slavery...

That I "should be grateful".

At best, I'll just rise my eyebrows and move on.

If I go a little further, are they trying to guilt trip me by just existing and having?
A little further, I'll eye roll over them. So? Am I supposed to save the world? Is depriving myself make everyone else better?

And an even way further in -- would that make my all my problems go away by not feeling and expressing any of it, let alone find a solution that 'most people don't access to'?
Are they telling me that my problems don't matter because some poor kid is starving?
... Do they even know these people? Had they lived those lives, even?

Would such adage... Change the entirety of the resources distribution world wide and finally solve, say, global poverty, world hunger and wars? :P

I have a friend who's in Germany right now and everything he tells me is that it's a thousand times better than the US. I think people know a lot about their history but don't realize what they're like now. They have a lot to teach the rest of the world.

I think that schizotypal disorder is significantly more common in people with autism spectrum disorder or pervasive developmental disorder than in general population and I suppose that an autistic person would rather have schizotypal than schizoaffective or schizophrenia. I also think that co-morbid schizotypal may account for many poorly-functioning cases of adult ASD.

I am quite regularly diagnosed with both Asperger syndrome (a pervasive developmental disorder) and schizotypal disorder together, generally with co-morbid OCD since about nine years (according to ICD-10 classification, not according to DSM). I am not from USA, but from East-Central Europe. I am moderately low-functioning adult, I have social pension and ruling of moderate level of disability due to mental illness and pervasive developmental disorder.

I've found a better Halloween avatar for me than the British mask. I've worn a British mask for most of my life. I don't need to be putting myself through 16 hours worth of flashbacks about that time on Halloween.

I love bonfire night (nov 5th in the UK). Preferably a dry crisp night with lots of fireworks going off and the smell of smoke in the air. Might try and get down to a local bonfire this year or even buy some fireworks and set them off in the communal garden.

Aw yeah I love bonfire night me

There used to be a fire in every street corner when I was a kid and my eyes would be all red and swollen the next day and I probably stank of fire as well because I never had a wash
