Nome is usually in the 50's-60's from June to about late September. It doesn't get extremely cold there too often, because it's on the coast. There can be periods where the temperature is in the plus 20's for a long time in winter (though it snows a lot). All figures in Fahrenheit.

I don't know if this counts as happy exactly, but it is a real accomplishment. Today was a state audit day and I managed to get through the entire day without snapping anyone's head off, including other staff and even better my husband. I did not collapse in tears. I did not break things. I did not yell. Any obscenities were muttered under my breath. I didn't even forget to feed the dogs and cats. Oh, and did I mention the day started with a power outage AND my cell phone stopped working.

I GOT THROUGH THE DAY WITHOUT A MELTDOWN.

That makes me happy. :D :D :D
