Have you read this?

SAMANTHA CRAFT

I find it to be a very good summary. I've read some full-lengths books, as well. The characteristics and experiences of women are markedly different than those of men.

I hope the list helps you feel happy and confident though, rather than unhappy. *

... because, why?

Is there an assumption they can only date other undateables?

And, why is it called "Undateables" if the people deserve and find dates?

I hate the media so much.

I would of loved to be on that show when I was single if it was an option. I struggled majorly to find a girlfriend cuz of various disabilities & I'm more attracted to others with disabilities/issues/problems because they are more relatable to me & being supportive within a realtionship is one of my biggest relationship strengths. Thankfully I've met my current girlfriend on this forum 6 & half years ago & we've been living together for 6 years now. She has various disabilities herself which can sometimes cause problems but for the most part she's more understanding & accepting than anyone else has ever been in my life & I'm more understanding of her issues than anyone else has ever been with her.

Thanks for your comment, Nick! I do admire your relationship with your girlfriend, which I've read of in many threads. I don't take issue with the concept of the show so long as the people involved all consent and want to participate.

It's the name of the show and the connotation of 'undateable" that upsets me.
Your Welcome. Things are far from perfect between us but neither of us believes that there is such a thing as a perfect realtionship. What's important is that we're both willing to try & work together. We don't always succeed & have our own issues to deal with but we give it our best.

Got it. I never really thought about the name of that show as being offensive but I never really thought about it much in general. I just heard about it in a few threads & thought it sounded interesting. I'm guessing the name is to sound extreme to express how difficult if is for the people & people are more interested in watching extreme stuff. It's like the name of the show, My Cat From Hell. The cats are not really from hell & most are not that bad or problematic.

I hate when cats bite. I am sitting in my recliner chair, my cat laid in my lap, she wouldn’t let me use my iPad, she kept putting her paw on my hand. Later, she got in a biting mode & she scratched my leg, I kicked her off me, she sat on my lap again, she bitten me, she bitten my hand, I’m bleeding :(

Same question, over and over again. Maybe a part of me doesn't want to escape this cycle. Maybe it's a Munchausen trip.

This week, not just today.... Our beautiful rainbow community in Auckland is being torn apart by an issue over the Pride Parade that features in February to kick off Pride month. I have thrown myself into the fray even though I abhor conflict because I feel very strongly that I must stand up for what I think is right. It is a very ugly and very public fight.

The ban on police marching in uniform, perhaps? Bummer.

Yes a small group of malcontents (PAPA) managed to infiltrate the Board to get traction on their own agenda. They certainly don't speak for the wider gay community and many voices have spoken up. Most of us love the that the Police and the armed forces march proudly in our parade in their uniforms. Many wounds and rifts began to heal when they joined in, now it has all turned to ashes. Anyway the controversy is not over.

Interesting list, Isabella! A lot those things (I would say at least 90 percent) describe me.

I'm glad you found it helpful.
I've shown the list to NT friends who barely identify with any of it, so it's not a case of "that applies to everyone".

I had to reapply tor my state Medicaid in order to keep receiving it. I mailed the forms like a month ago. Saturday i got a notice in that I had to send them a copy of my bank statement by the 25th in order to keep my Medicaid. I never had to send them a copy of my bank statement before. No big deal thou except they forgot to include the return envelope to send it back to them. I called Monday to ask them to send me the return envelope. No big deal with that but I also asked for a slight extension to get it mailed to them. After being transferred to two more people, my caseworker told me not to worry about it because they'll send me another letter with a different date. I got a letter in today that says that since I hadn't sent them something they needed, my Medicaid is ending at the end of this month. The letter I got in Saturday said I had till the 25th to send it which is this Sunday so I really don't get why this new letter is acting like it's already too late & I'm being cut off. It's always been easy for me to apply for the Medicaid before. I really don't know why they're making it so damn difficult this time.
