Get well soon, Kitty. PT can be exhausting but it's worth it. I'm glad your kitty cat is doing well with your neighbour.

Yes, I've had lots of it. I needed two years of PT after a surgical error. Then after my stroke I had inpatient therapy and home therapy, followed by a stroke rehabilitation day program at the hospital with PT, OT, Speech and VRT three days a week, for over a year. Last year I broke my left foot twice in a row and went to PT for that, too. I used a rollator walker for the first 18 months after my stroke. Now I can manage with just a cane if it's a long walk outdoors. I don't need any assistive devices at home any more. I really hope you will recover quickly. Do you have any idea when you might be released from the hospital?

I must have shredded 5000 pages. With the shredder overheating and jamming every ten minutes. It wasn't fun but I'm very happy now.

:D

That's my worry. I hope so! After the first hour I was ruthless and killed nearly everything. It was all triggers that had been buried in boxes inside boxes inside boxes.

I didn't have to read it carefully. I just had to "skim and think" about whether to keep each page. It was very nice to let most of it go.

I'm on the "throw away everything I own" side. I purge a lot every few months because it feels good to make problems (messes) vanish. Wouldn't it be nice if this metaphor could work in real life? I try not to own or keep much stuff (except for paper, which clearly accumulated into a nearly insurmountable problem because it was so overwhelming). The paper was hidden from view, so my home appeared tidy all along, but I don't like to do the actual scrubbing and polishing of things. Scrubbing is much more annoying than decluttering, although I do it as needed.

seemingly incurable slob, not even uncle sam's army could make me into a tidy person. :|

kill a cute little mouse [and flush it down the toilet] to keep your house hygienic
or
let it live but put it in a cage
or
release it somewhere miles from your home so it won't be tempted to re-enter?

My cats would happily oblige me with a), although c) would be more ideal.
