1. Nothing eventful happened today.

2. Some guy screamed about the Apocalypse on the train today.

3. I had a bacon, egg, and Swiss cheese sandwich for breakfast today.

1 -- something eventful happened today because I got lost in the wood :)

2 -- that's NYC for ya!

3 -- I don't believe you

:)

Actually, #2 is the lie LOL.

Nothing eventful happened on the train today--except for a slight scuffle because somebody didn't say "excuse me."

I did have a bacon, egg, and Swiss cheese sandwich on a roll for breakfast :)

1. To my great delight I will not be returning to Dr. X again

2. To my great delight I will not be returning to the enchanted forest again

3. To my great delight I am exhausted but have no further appointments Wednesday

#2.....you WILL be returning to the Enchanted Forest.

1. I went to Holyoke Massachusetts once----and was shocked at the contrast between Victorian mansions and boarded-up houses within a half-mile of each other.

2. I hung out in a park near a big Interstate highway, and watched a family dance to the rap song "Do the Humpty-Hump."

3. I had my driver's license by the time I went to Holyoke.

Perhaps 3?

Correct as always, Sweet Isabella :) I went to Holyoke in 1991. I didn't get my license until 1998.

Despite the amount of reading I do,

1. I'm so averse to bright light that I don't have a bedside reading light. At night I rest a strand of little faerie lights across my page, to read while in bed. They give my books a soft golden glow while the rest of the room stays dark.

2. I don't own a bookmark. I remember which page I'm reading, and if I'm mistaken I'm happy to reread a chapter or two.

3. There are several books that I've read multiple times but I can't recall any details. I simply love the flow of the words.

Somehow, I can see you with copious amounts of bookmarks---there's probably a sort of "spontaneous precision" to your reading. #2.

2 is indeed my lie. Until recently I did not use a bookmark, though. I was given several over the years because people assumed I would want them, but I didn't. They were never used. In the past year or so I've been receiving complimentary bookmarks from the shop where I order my books. I quite like them! They're just paper but they have sweet hand-drawn illustrations and yes, they're very useful!

1 and 3 are true.

I'm quite averse to bright lights, too.

1. When I was a kid, I used to read in half-light, because I wanted my mother to think that I was asleep. I spent hours reading the Columbia Encyclopedia with barely any light.

2. My father gave me the Encyclopaedia Britannica when I was about 11....Man o man did I have it "made in the shade!"

3. I took the book "Everything You Always Wanted to Know About Sex, But Were Afraid to Ask" out of my mother's bookshelf without her knowledge. I learned so much, even though some of David Reuben's notions have since been debunked.

There are notions about sex to debunk? I'm curious now.

I think 2 is wrong somehow.

Alas, you're right again, My Lilac Lady! How I longed for the Encyclopaedia Britannica!

Not really about "sex," per se. He said some good things about human relationships. But Dr. Reuben's notions that circumcision automatically prevented such things as penile cancer was debuked.

I'm not really "anti-circumcision"---but I'm not as "gung-ho" about it as Dr. Reuben was.

(I won't even ask ... wink). I recall your father was Jewish.

I've never heard the cancer concept. Yes, I'm sure that was a good theory to debunk.

What colour is your shirt right now?

My mother's Jewish, my father's Catholic.

I'm wearing a white shirt with turquoise "squares."

1. My father separated from my mother, and vice versa, at the beginning of 1972.

2. What prompted the separation was me running up a $600 phone bill by calling the weather for cities worldwide.

3. My father came to see me every week, or every two weeks, thereafter.

Oh boy. I knew that about your mother being Jewish (my apologies -- I'm very sleepy).
3 is your lie.
