How there are always going to be those people who you just can't please no matter how hard you try. There are always those people you try to reach out to with a hand to hold and they will just slap it away.

I need to stop trying so hard to befriend people who just have no interest in me and who are probably not going to be good for me in the long run.

i have, at least twice, caught myself seriously wondering whether or not my girlfriend has a V6 engine.



took me a while to remember that humans don't have engines.

Eventually I suppose Mr. Kristofferson realized his good fortune. Let us hope it didn't take him very long.

Whoof.

On my mind right now is winter storm Liam, which is apparently going to ice a lot of areas overnight, including mine. I'm very glad to be retired, but sad for all the people who have no choice but to go out in the crud all winter long.

I wish that adult workplaces would follow the lead of their local school systems and delay opening similarly - some do, mostly fed/state/local governments - God knows how much it would save in terms of money and lives. And the engines of commerce would survive quite nicely, thanks.
