I was foolish enough to carry a heavy earthenware plate with a steel tape measure and a heavy box-tape dispenser on top, and I dropped the whole lot with my dog straight underfoot.

I thought it hit his head or his snout because he ran aside, but I've spent an hour with him and he seems fine. I think he heard the things sliding from the plate and jumped away in time. Please tell me that's what happened!

Nothing seems tender and his eyes are equal.

All these hippy neo Christains who have assured me that the bible has never said that homosexuals are evil and should be killed... and then I read this in our own bible in the house.

I believe this verse is in reference to adultery and promiscuity, saying that a man shouldn't lie with a man (or a woman) who isn't their partner.

Yeah, I just feel unhappy because lately I've started buying into a lot of things about Christianity and was actually considering conforming. But then I read something like that and I realize how horrible and unfair things can really be....

Maybe that's what my weird dream was warning me about? Telling me not to be too trusting and not to allow myself to be swept away by a religion that has a long dark history of oppressing and killing innocent people who did nothing wrong. Like every person who was ever burned or hanged for being a "witch".

When I read the strict laws against adultery I remind myself this was imposed to prevent sexually transmitted infections. There were no antibiotics and there was no birth control. I believe the concept of marriage was started to reinforce monogamy, in part to prevent the spread of infection and to promote accountability from men to their children. I can't imagine living pre-birth control without antibiotics. Again, I'm not defending. I think "the fear of God" was used to ensure survival of humanity.

I'm so sick of all the IQ elitism that goes on here.
People are clever in many ways.
I know people with high IQs who are the dumbest humans alive when it comes to practical tasks.
I also hate it when they assume IQ has a 'look'.

I get sick of that on Wrong Planet too. There are some very arrogant members here who are always putting other members down and making them feel stupid. I'm also sick of people thinking that having Aspergers makes you some sort of genius and if you aren't a genius then you can't have Aspergers.

Also I'm sick of straight guys who openly hate on women and then complain about how no woman wants to be with them.

I'm also sick of Aspies calling Neurotypicals "evil" and blaming them for all the problems in the world while discussing plans to build a country of made of Aspies only.
