Alexithymia, and the slow-drip when relationships die.

I had to look up what Alexithymia was to understand what you meant.. There have been times where I've felt loss of emotional content when some social scenarios no longer exist..

My alexithymia leads to the loss of relationships. I can feel more after they end.

If you don't mind me saying, your mom's behavior reminds me of my own mother in literal terms..

My mom is a perfectionist and needs help as much as I am getting now.

My mom tends to exhibits hyper anxiety, in that she starts to thinks the worst of things if ever she leaves town be it my overall welfare and that, somehow I would let the family cats starve or become dehydrated. Yet, I'm not that absent minded nor negligent, but that is how my acts and often sees me..

I think we need a thread for 'desperately damaged by mother' members. I'd happily be CEO.

It happen every so often. I work in a cafeteria kitchen so I use my body a lot. Standing for long periods of time. Lifting heavy boxes. Carrying things.

Take it easy and rest, cecil! Hope you feel better soon.

Denis Istomin lost his first match of 2019. However, he was playing against a decent opponent and he has plenty of matches ahead of him. I wish him well at the Australian Open.

As for me, I'm a little anxious about what this year might hold in store. That doesn't mean I'm giving up. I just have to find opportunities when they come and listen for new ideas that may help me.

I didn't get to go to my parents for our New Year supper because there's a snowstorm. :(

I'm sure I'll get to go tomorrow. The year will still be new. :)
