This night I had a glitchy dream where I burned to death in a wooden house. I ran into that house to hide from a dragon which appeared when I was watching a mermaid swimming in a pool... The dragon breathed fire at the house and I couldn't get out for some reason though I was not far from the entrance, so I began to burn. There was a pause in the dream and then I saw that I was in fire and it *was meant to be* very hot. Then the other pause occured, everything disappeared and I understood that I had died. Then I suddenly saw an old man standing near the burnt house and mourning his dead childen (two daughters and one son). He stood there for a while and went somewhere. Then it turned out that I was alive and I read a book where all these events were described.

My dreams in which I die are always like this.

I dreamed that I did not get accepted into the high school I want to attend. But then I heard that dreams are the opposites of reality. Weird.

i dreamed I was driving down a steep highway straightaway in the mountains somewhere. It got quite steep and I decided to run down the road instead. At the bottom was a bridge across a wide canyon and river.
It was under construction, so the trucks and equipment were blocking my way. I began to weave around and through all the dangerous activity, but got blocked by a large bulldozer.

I dreamt I lived somewhere with a large backyard and trees. My cat got out and as I got it back in I saw a bird on the ground.
After locking the cat inside, I picked up the soft, warm feathery body of the bird which turned out to be a huge gray hawk. It wasn't dead, thankfully, so I put it high up in a tree in a secure mass of branches where it could heal.
:)

Last night, I had a dream about one of my special interests: North Korea. And... it was actually a relatively pleasant dream from what I can remember... 8O

I spent a lot of time(used to) researching north Korea, and my oh my a couple of weeks ago I dreamt that I went there on a three month study trip! The teacher knew Chinese and gave us all a very difficult biology quiz. she was kind - and said that she hated the kims.
Today, last night I dreamt of exactly the same thing. I went to Saudi arabia though.and I didn't take a test. The teacher was singing some Islam song which sounded very nice.

So weird.

There was a new tram going around school, and I wanted to go on it but it wasn't my turn. Bt somehow I ended up on it anyway, then couldn't get off in case I got in trouble, and I didn't know how to get back. And then I was in the maths building, being told by my teacher (Who was the one I had in year 8, not year 10) that my level was 3y, which isn't even a level in real life, but I was disappointed because it was a low one. Then I was in my room at my dad's house, and 2 of the posters of people that I put up kept on changing each day. And I was in this sort of shop, but I could only be on one side of it, on the other side, I would be told to go back to the first side. Then I was on a tram again, and my sister couldn't get in, she held onto the door on the outside as the tram was moving, and then fell off, and I screamed at the driver telling him to stop. Then when he did, I must have jumped out the tram because I saw it slowing down as it stopped. Luckily, my sister had found her way to where I was and was alright.

YES! I THOUGHT THAT I WAS THE ONLY ONE! I watched yet another documentary on North Korea yesterday and lost several hours of sleep.

And I even doodled a picture of South Korea and North Korea too! I had to use someone's North Korea OC though, since Axis Powers Hetalia doesn't have an official North Korea character yet. South Korea isn't even in the anime because some officials from South Korea said that the way South Korea was portrayed is too offensive.

It would be great if they made an official North Korea character. :D

I had the weirdest dreams this last night. I posted a little bit about it on facebook, but thought I would share it here also.

It started off, as I remember, with me as a child again in elementary school, except I didn't recognize the teacher or students. We were reading The Wind in the Willows, and I complained, "But I know this story already," so I turned in an old copy of the homework assignment. Except the book was different because the author's name was a different one in Arabic and in the middle of it was information on a murder in Australia.

So then I was an adult again, and some friends and I were on a farm where we had brought the farmer a mythical creature (I think it was a griffin), and we met a kitten.

Then this guy and girl I know and myself got a house together, and kitten came to live with us, except now she was older. We named the cat after my deceased cat, who coincidentally had the same name as a female friend of mine. Then the cat turned into a little girl who appeared about 3 or 4 years old and slightly resembled a woman I have a crush on.

The little girl asked me to explain God to her and told me that someone had said, "He's the big guy in the sky," so she thought God was the giant from Jack in the Beanstalk. I was trying to think of an explanation when she started choking, which scared me, so I opened her mouth and pulled out a map.

I don't know what any of that was supposed to mean :?

i had a weird one this time, where i was in this mansion that was full of kitchens of various designs including ones that had stuff hidden in living room furniture, like you push a button and out from the wall pops a range and fridge/freezer, microwave/toaster etc. in any case, in each room i wandered, and there were tables covered with plates of the most delicious foods, a lot of 'em were chocolate this and chocolate that. YUM! :D in the last kitchen i visited, i ran into an acquaintance from my college days that i hadn't seen in decades- he was already seated at a table waiting there for this husband/wife team of amateur chefs to finish cooking the meal to be served, and then the husband took off all of a sudden, and at that point the wife [who was a beautiful middle-aged latina lady] got REALLY amorous with ME! :o in a way that NEVER happens in real life! :hmph: she was all over me and asking me to do things to her that were X-rated. then i awoke before anything could happen. damn. :wall:

According to listverse.com's "Top 10 amazing facts about dreams", Within 5 minutes of waking, half of your dream if forgotten. Within 10, 90% is gone.

So remembering the oddest dream I've had will be quite a challenge. I do however remember the dream that was most influential on my life.
I wouldn't like to give too much away, as it's personal. But it was very odd and vivid. The storyline would change drastically, from being one thing to another. At the end, I was running for my life. But I always know that what I dream of is just thoughts. It was more of a thing of realization that made me react so strangely the next day. Took me about a week to understand that was only a dream. But I do have to say, my life is hugely impacted because of the dream. I sometimes wonder where my life would be if I didn't have the dream.
But I'm thankful for it, as I personally think I'm a better person.

I dont know what it all means either.
But I love it! Almost too much striking imagery.

The last paragraph in particular strikes a chord.
A child innocently asking a question that grownups can barely answer for themselves.
But before you can answer the child chokes on an obstruction- that you fish it out of her mouth that turns out to be a map.

Could be taken as a metaphor for education. We cant give the next generation the answers- only the tools to navigate to their own conclusions.

Or maybe the child is you. you're stopped ( "choked") by something that could be the very thing that proves to be your salvation ( a treasure map so to speak).

Interesting.

I have had dreams where I am warm but encompassed by a softness that prevented me moving - I think it was a womb dream....
