I would say #1. That activity doesn't make much sense to me.

Then again....there is much lack of sensical-ness in some therapies.

#1 is true. The workshop was held at a church, and I was led around its cemetery grounds in a blindfold. It was very odd, indeed. I didn't see the point of it either, but it was meant to develop trust. I was about 22 years old. There's no way I could do that now because it would bring back other bizarre memories.

#2 is true. My family didn't have "family meals" except on holidays because my father was seldom home from work for meals. My brother and I ate in our respective bedrooms with the doors shut. No one in my family was big on communication. Life was even more fragmented when my cousin lived with us.

#3 is true.

Oh wait, sorry! I mean 3 is a lie. I didn't have to do that yelling thing, but I've heard of it. I wouldn't do it if I were asked.

In the early 1960s:

1. I took a bath in the sink, and smelled vomit all around.

2. Heard "I will follow him," by Little Peggy March, on the radio.

3. Gave a speech about the threat of the Industrial/military complex.

3. You weren't verbal in the early 60s.

You got me again! :D

1. I was born with a silver spoon.

2. We lived in a one-room apartment in the Bronx until 1964.

3. I remember the stores in the Bronx used to have dark green walls.

You were born with a spoon? I hope your mother had a Cesarean :)

I choose 1.

No Caesarean for my mother-----she didn't need it; I only weighed 5 pounds, 12 ounces at birth.

1. My mother once had to go to the hospital because an IUD got embedded in her.

2. My brother had to get his appendix removed when I was 9, and he was 15.

3. As I whiled away my time while visiting my brother in the hospital, I became a proficient yo-yo artist.

1. Aren't IUDs are supposed to be embedded?

They are----but hers was doubly embedded. The substance of her uterus completely surrounded it. It caused her severe pain, and required surgery.

ouch

When I was in Uni, I had a meltdown and considered dropping out (because of undiagnosed / unaccommodated autism).

1. An uncle, with whom I'd never had a heart-to-heart conversation, telephoned me. It was the most transformative conversation I recall having in my life. RIP  LGT

2. My aunt, who was wealthy and eccentric, came to visit for an unexpected and unparalleled weekend of girl talk. I had never experienced such close rapport with a woman. She made me feel strong and smart. RIP  MJK

3. My brother phoned me regularly and sent me a teddy bear named Nathaniel. He spoke so highly of my achievements to his friends that I didn't have the heart to quit school. Thanks, _ _ _ _.

I wish none of these were lies.....

I'm leaning towards #2, though. Because of your fear of women.

You're right. There was no auntly visit. I would have flipped out if someone descended upon me unannounced, for an entire weekend of Uni, when I had such a heavy workload. Besides, I've never had a girl-talk weekend with anyone.

Do you like your wealthy and eccentric aunt?

I had eccentric people in my family----whom I didn't know about until I was an adult! LOL

I didn't know my great-aunt Dorothea was into giving séances----until we went up to an attic after my grandfather passed away----and saw books on necromancy and that ilk.

I did have a specific person in mind when I created Lie #2, but she was my uncle's cousin's wife (is there a name for that?) She's actually still alive and her initials aren't MJK. She never went to visit me but she was always proud of me despite being a bit of a rich snob.

That's great about Dorothea. She sounds very interesting!

Many people in my family have "come out" at young ages. Included in my (awesome) under-20 relatives are:

1. A niece who has declared she is now my nephew (he's actually a cousin, but I call him a nephew)

2. A twelve year old who declared she is pansexual, and quit school because of an anxiety disorder (she is home-schooled)

3. A cousin who is only seventeen, but left her parents to live in a polyamorous relationship with three partners
