^You are alive. That is probably the most beautiful achievement anyone can ever make.

Alive but not living. I've lost my initiative. I want to do stuff but then I can't do the stuff I want to do. It's like I have a mental block. It's like my hands are tied. It's hard to describe.

I try to do something but then I think of something else I should do before that and something I should do before that then I always end up doing the lowest priority task.

My executive function is terrible. So is my time management. I end up doing smaller tasks but then I don't do bigger tasks.

I want to play video games but I either don't have the energy or I have it but can't use it. I want to socialise but I can't find the initiative.

^The only things I can think of to suggest are mundane things, like iron supplements or drinking water/natural fruit juice. My apologizes.

That's actually a good idea.

^It works for me when I need an energy boost, so I thought I might as well suggest it. Also, keeping a bag of nuts or granola bars nearby for extra boosts is also helpful to me.

Sometimes my problem is too much energy but I can't focus.

Ugh, this reads exactly like my dreaded inertia. It's like wading through wet concrete, you just can't get anywhere, it's like whatever you decide to do, oh no you can't, because XYZ has to be done first, and when you try to do XYZ instead, whoops sorry, UVW has to be done before you can do that, on and on. I hate this.
What I do if it's any use is something you seem to be doing already - start at the beginning of the proverbial daisy chain, and do something of lower priority that has to be done first, then continue working upwards until you have eliminated all these "have to be done firsts" and then you can address what you actually wanted to do.
I do this with lists, because well, I do everything with lists. I'm list-obsessed. Also if it is this inertia, doing one thing can help. You get on a roll, then suddenly doing other things and keeping going doesn't seem so impossible.
As for me, I got up after only a few hours sleep, with a cold/flu/virus, and attended a study interview where I enrolled in a training course starting next month. Huzzah.
Later this afternoon, I am going to drive to the next town down the line and do grocery shopping, and see a breeder about buying a pet I have been threatening to buy for years now. I might actually do it, depending on how the conversation about its care and needs goes with the breeder.

My achievement for today was working out why I don't like being around other people.

About half the population is dumber than me. I don't like them because they can't talk to me on my level and they're very disorganised. I can't even make plans with them because they're too disorganised.

The other half of the population is smarter than me. I resent them for being cleverer than me and having more achievements than me. I resent them because they may think less of me for not being as clever or as accomplished as them. They're usually better organised than me.

Everyone is either dumber or smarter than me and I don't like being around either of those two groups. I've been doing a lot of overtime because I don't enjoy doing anything outside of work so I have nothing better to do.

I got up at a reasonable time today.
