i had a series of bizarre dreams featuring both my late parents, and in the first dream i was in my late parents' house, and in my late father's bedroom my mother asked me for drugs- and in the second dream, i was in some weird version of my hometown where everything was shape-shifting as it watched it. i was on a corner on the outskirts of town, and i saw these two bicyclists approach a stop sign, converse about who could make it up the street the fastest, then as soon as they rounded the corner, both of 'em morphed into motor vehicles, one being a chugging diesel truck, the other an icecream van with a putt-putt 2-stroke engine smoking and "WINGWINGWING-ing" up the street and leaving the diesel behind in its smoketrail. then a minute later, coming from the opposite direction, i saw two house-sized strawberry-and-orange velour-upholstered easy chairs with workmen atop of each, "driving" them down the hill behind me until they went around a corner out of my sight. then i started walking up the street and soon i came to the business district with many storefront shops featuring lots of knickknack stores and gaming parlors, and ended up at a swap-meet at which point my late mother materialized and said to me, "it's time to go home now, let's go home!" to which i replied, "ok, we'll go home now." then i awoke.

I dreamt I had moved to an old home in a small town with a fenced back yard. While unpacking and getting settled I let on of my cats out there and it immediately leaped up and caught a little bird. The cat came trotting over to me with the tiny bird in its mouth so I gently pried it out. At first it was just a wet little bundle of feathers in my palm. I realized it was a hummingbird and still alive. There was some plastic coating over it that had protected it from the cat's teeth. I opened my hand to see if it could still fly, and the plastic wrappings unfolded and dropped off. Then, happily, the bird flew away.

I had something a little like that happen to me but in real life. One time the neighbor's cat was in my yard meowing and there was a bird in it's mouth. I chased it across the street, caught it, and took the bird. It was stunned but after keeping it in a small cage for a short amount of time it was fine and I let it go outside and it flew away.

I dreamt what was written on one of my birthday cards. It looked like my mom's handwriting, but what was written didn't look like something she would write.

a weird dream for me would be a normal scenario, but such a dream hasn't happened yet.

My last weird dream was last night and I decided to text my ex-boyfriend to see if he still used the same cell number. The weird part is I keep having this same dream every night. Probably because I thought of doing it before. When I'm asleep it always seems like the perfect idea and when I'm awake I laugh and tell myself yeah right, I'm never talking to that idiot again.

I had a dream that my parents converted to Mormonism and sent me to an ultra-strict Mormon college. They made me wear a dress and my hair was long and in braided pigtails (I recently had it cut short). I ran away and sought refuge in a Catholic Church, but the Mormon students and faculty followed me there and began threatening me. I begged the priest to protect me, and he did. Then the Mormons and the Catholic parishioners began attacking and killing each other. Somehow among the wreckage I found the corpse of Lady Gaga in marionette form.

I was supposed to meet my dad to do a rennovation job and since he was already there I drove down in an old Mack dumptruck. The area was strange none of the buidings had windows and the place was deserted even though it was a city. It was the crack of dawn with fog. My was already there and he walked there. He drove home. When we arrived my mom came to me said Hows my little truck driver?

Yesterday I dreamed that Pierce Brosnan taught me how to make homemade cheese. He's an okay actor who I don't find particularly sexy (my mom does though), but he was very nice to me in my dream.

That just reminded me I had a nightmare last night with spiders in. They were all over the place and then a really big one bit me. 8O Maybe it was to do with a conversation on WP the other day! :chin:

Recurring dream 2 consecutive nights:

I was becalmed in an open sailing dinghy in the middle of the ocean. Vividly I remember, totally cloudless sky, sweltering heat and the sea like glass. Seated in the bow was Jesus Christ... who drank the last of the water in an enormous chug and jumped overboard, vanishing beneath the surface.. and was gone..

The following night, the same dream.. except I knew what he was about to do and clubbed him with an oar as he reached for the water, knocking him overboard. He sank like a rock.

For the record, although I was raised in a spiritual household, I am secure in my atheism 8)

To see a dog in your dream symbolizes intuition, loyalty, generosity, protection, and fidelity. The dream suggests that your strong values and good intentions will enable you to go forward in the world and bring you success. The dream dog may also represent someone in your life who exhibits these qualities. Alternatively, to see a dog in your dream indicates a skill that you may have ignored or forgotten. If the dog is dead or dying or starving, then it means a loss of a good friend or a deterioration of your instincts. Also consider common notions associated with the word dog, such as loyalty ("man's best friend") and to be "treated like a dog".

I have cinematic dreams sometimes that I somehow watch and participate in as a character at the same time. The last one was especially detailed and entertaining. I was some kind of private detective and somebody hired me to find out what was wrong with her younger brother and I went to their house and found a syringe in the bushes and realised he was acting weird because he had been poisoned. I never got to the end and found out who did it because there was a massive digression where I was trying to take a shortcut through this massive apartment complex and got totally lost.

I used to have a recurring dream when I was about 5 or 6 about this strange place in the ground floor of my aunt's apartment building--not sure if it was a boutique or what, because my mother would never let me go in. It had beaded curtains and strobe lights and psychedelic stuff (this was in 1972). In my dream, this beautiful lady would come out and hold out a box with a spider inside it and I had to put my hand in the box and let the spider bite me before I could go inside. I always woke up when the spider bit me.
