Paperwork. Trying to get hold of a copy of my divorce decree from 1985 in a state half the country away. Having to talk to people in a court to get hold of the right paperwork to fill out, get certified, get apostilled, etc. And all the accompanying anxiety related to both paperwork and a period of my life I'd much rather bury in a few shrivelled neurons I never have to deal with.

Notre Dame has been "saved," according to sources.

The two main towers remain standing. I don't think the art has been affected by the fire. One of the spires collapsed, though.

The French are going to conduct a criminal investigation.

Yesterday was a horrible day. Not only did I read of the events at Notre Dame, but I learned a friend of the family, who was my hairdresser for over ten years, died two days ago. It was a shock.

I have to prepare a legal draft in two days and i just can't do it. It stresses me too much. I wish i was a secretary or something, writing all the time is just not for me.
