My greatest sentence to native German people is "Ich Spreche Deutsch Nicht".... ok, i gotta google yours
Sounds like my commanding knowledge of French... "Je ne parle pas Francais" and "Vive le France!"
But don't waste your time on my german sentance above. It is mostly made up words, not real ones, or only half real. I have always done that as a game.
Two years in Switzerland. Not bad! I was stationed in Germany for 5 years and have been back a few times since passing thru or on vacations and such. Did short trips to Switzerland a few times. Where in Switzerland did you attend school?
Oh~~~ it's so good you travel to switzerland a few times, it's really the best place to relax.
The four month period that I attended is University of St.Gallen, it's year 2007 things already. That's a fanzy place, if I have to use one word to describe it, i would use "cute". The houses are tiny, the boutiques, food stores, train stations, all are very tiny. I even saw a lot of churches, a lot were themed for children. It's looks like kindergarten. haha~
Hey, toy_soldier, it looks like you have done lots of travelling. Any more nice places have you gone?
The Alps are just incredible. Part of it is how when you approach them they rise up suddenly from lush farmland and scenery. And going thru the passes is a thrilling/scary trip. I haven't done a whole lot of traveling. I have been to some of the countries immediately around Germany a few times: Switz, France, Netherlands, Belgium, Lux. I spent a year in Iceland, and have been to the Sandbox a few times on deployments (Southwest Asia).
There are two places I would like to see especially, but probably won't get there. One is to China, to see the Great Wall and to that place where they are uncovering the tomb of Qin Shi Huang, that contains a life-sized terra-cotta army of thousands of soldiers, horses and chariots (The greatest Toy Soldier collection in the world

). The other is the old city of Jerusalem. I've had a lifelong interest in history and cultures and being in Europe was like Disneyland to me. So many sites and different languages/cultures densely crowded in a small area. You could have Breakfast with a German menu, Lunch in French and Dinner in Dutch.
I have heard St Gallen, but never was in that corner of Switzerland.
