I don't understand the question. Do they ignore you because they're afraid to brake your fragile feelings? Or the opposite, they ignore you because they just don't like you and they have a complete disregard of your very sensitive nature.

I don't give a coot about people that do the second thing - or their opinions and actions. When it comes to the first, I feel a little bit emasculated. And also a little bit disappointed with humanity, as I always get the feeling that people are nice just for the sake of their image, not out of actual concern or empathy.

Do you think that most people are nice for purely selfish reasons?

Umm... I'm not sure. Make mountains and rocks less dangerous, but still as beautiful. I don't know how I would do that. Hang invisible safety nets everywhere? :P
