Those were the days of the slow internet, nowadays its all up to 20 - 24mbps in the UK now.
Even fibre optic is coming along and its fortunate that my area is getting that fitted in. :D

Yeah - up to being about right, and many (most?) are lucky if they achieve 5 Mbps.
My speed is good - I live about one mile from the exchange and the whole path is relatively new copper - yet I only I get 12.8 Mbps if the wind's in the right direction. I'm not complaining, as such, but it could be so much better and cheaper for everyone.

And it can't come fast enough!
It's long past the time that everything was ripped out and replaced with fibre.
Some time over the next few months I'll be going fibre (well, FTTC anyways) - 50 Mbps (and independently checked as typically 45-48 Mbps) with a soon-to-be-announced update to 100 Mbps.

The grocery store I go to has changed the location of almost every item. Of 20 aisles I think the soup is the only thing in the same place. :?

I only go there at night though, when it's quiet, so I thought of it as a scavenger hunt and had a grand ole time.

 Good attitude. Sounds like fun.

First a great writer and now a very good film. :thumright: I like it.

Thanks; you a fan of Studio Ghibli/Hayao Miyazaki?

I am, though there are a couple I haven't gotten around to seeing quite yet (Laputa, Ponyo). In general, I'm not a huge anime fan, but there are some I enjoy very much, and anything Miyazaki is among them. I actually wrote a paper on Grave of the Fireflies in high school.

I'm not really a big fan of anime/manga, either. I love Doraemon and Miyazaki films... and that's about it.
Ponyo was pretty good... I'd definitely suggest seeing it in Japanese (if you don't know the language... English subtitles. I remember you posting something about going to Japan... or was that you... anyways, yeah. I'm not sure if you prefer dubs or subs, but if you don't already know, dubs suck, especially with Miyazaki films.)

I know how that feels... that's why I learned to whistle while breathing in and while exhaling.

Yes, I understand Japanese. Even when I don't know the language, though, I prefer subtitles. Dubbing, even when done well, just never seems quite the same to me. And thanks for the recommendation--I do intend to get to it one of these days.
