The amount of people that think drugs (Tobacco, weed, alcohol mainly) are perfectly harmless and spend there life high.

Worrying about a friend of mine who has been in a very dark place for a long time, he seems so lonely and angry, half of it out of his control and the other half things he did to himself. A lot of crap has happened to him, but on top of it he reacts to it badly making it worse.I pray for him a lot, not that he would want to hear that right now.

Children. So many people I know are having kids, not just that but through premarital sex. One of them is younger than me. One of them is my own mother. I want kids so badly, but I cannot have what I desperately want because I'm not willing to do bad things to have one. Though I want to adopt not conceive anyway, it still cuts me deep. I am not known for patience.

Noise is on my mind as well, because the world is too loud.

Figures of speech

"Paucity of content"

"Precision of language"

Considering firing the current counselor

She keeps missing the point

Over and over

She says "what" instead of "excuse me"

That is curt, abrupt,

Then she acts like every time she has a thought or emotion, it is the latest greatest scientific invention

:jester:

And she has not prepared me to live "life"

Just "sorry" this and "unfortunate thing that happened" that

As if you could just expect "fortunate" things to happen

Everything is fortunate, neither or unfortunate

Way too dramatic

No good advice

She acts like she is awesome or something

She doesn't even know what a TI 83 or Python is

And she put "paucity of content" on the insurance form

:jester:

She didn't know what the Big Five Personality traits are, or neuroplasticity

She thought "mad" is an emotion

And I had to bring a dictionary

But I should not have had to do so

What else do I have to bring, a Diagnostic statistical manual?

:jester:

And I don't think she is as emotionally resilient as she acts like she is

And if she is, can she "help" me

"Can" and ""will" are two different things

And is the "help" worth 75 bucks an hour?

it couldn't hurt to try a new counselor. if you haven't found one you like after trying several, it will be time to consider that your tendency to be hard on folks, especially yourself, is more culpable in your difficulties relating to counselors than not having found the right counselor. if you decide that no one will be great, perhaps, you can settle for okay.

folks use "mad" to mean "angry" a lot. it's common slang. i wouldn't hold that against someone.

they didn't teach us about the big five in psychiatry courses in med school. i came across it in other reading. my only "negative" of the five is introversion. how about you? i know you are conscientious.

Cathy Lynn

The insurance stops paying for the current counselor, as of November this year

One hour, every other week, until then

She said that the insurance rarely approves of a third year of counseling

And I do not have enough $$ to pay for a counselor

On the other hand, counseling is just sitting around talking

"Actions speak louder than words"

:D

Thus far I have had 35 total counselors. Ten of them professional counselors. The rest volunteers. The volunteers had 170 hours training

The current counselor is, by far, the best versed in Autism, homophobia, and clinical depression

She doesn't not ask Mandated Reporter questions, every time I mention Depression

She has not yet made comments about my appearance

Those are the most important things

The current counselor is "okay", just not as "great" as she acts like she is

:D

The solar system contains more defendants convicted of rape, than Nobel Prize winners. That doesn't make the activity with more participants morally superior

Most "folks" are not professional counselors

"Depression" does not mean "sad". "Bipolar" does not mean "moody", "schizophrenic" does not mean "crazy", "learning difference" does not mean "low IQ".

"What" does not mean "excuse me"

The word choice shows biases, attitude, and competence

"Mad" has a negative connotation

That is why I went all the way to the Recycling Center to get the dictionary and showed it to her

There are justified reasons to be angry

For example, homophobia

:jester:

The Big Five Personality traits are kind of a recent thing. The current counselor is 61 years old.

But maybe she is just not up to date on current Psychobabble terms

:D

"Introversion" is not necessarily a "negative" . But in the current situation, it is usually a negative

I am also introverted

Not Open to experience

Past week, applied for some jobs. But just minimum wage type of jobs. There's something seriously wrong with each job.

Arrogant boss or co-workers
Too far away
Dangerous or inconvenient location
Too many hours, hours at inconvenient times
Too boring, athletically difficult, socially awkward, emotionally fragile, dress code, academically difficult, meaningless, stupid, angry customers

:D

Applied for a job as a cashier at a car dealership

Random stupid meaningless easy slave labor

Any old idiot can do

:D

Wanna do something new and different and meaningful

Military

West Point

Civil Air Patrol

Rotc

Drill team

Cheerleading

Flag squad

Football

Basic training

Boot camp

Lazy

No discipline

Could use some outside "help"

:D

perfectionism is an invisible barrier. it makes a person look lazy while they're busy fighting their inner demons.

There's way too many negative connotations with the word lazy.

To elaborate:

“For instance, on the planet Earth, man had always assumed that he was more intelligent than dolphins because he had achieved so much—the wheel, New York, wars and so on—whilst all the dolphins had ever done was muck about in the water having a good time. But conversely, the dolphins had always believed that they were far more intelligent than man—for precisely the same reasons.”
