I just find it upsetting that people are indifferent to this kind of thing. It's a little scary, actually. In the news, when someone is a "a murderous sociopathic horribly abusive life-draining lustful creepy stalker", people get up in arms about it, but in a book series with vampires? No way.

I was not remotely 'Zen', ranting and reacting like that.

I understand what you mean kura. Personally I separate fiction from reality. Watching someone getting their head cut of in a movie is not that desturbing. However I'm so glad I haven't seen any of the Isis movies, where they do it in reality. That would be horrible and traumatizing! I accedentally saw a short clip of someone torturing a dog once. I could feel it for a week after. Still today remembering it makes me uneasy.
