Federer and Nadal are in the quarterfinals at Indian Wells.

I am competing in a speech contest tomorrow. It should be fun.

I had a busy and very productive day yesterday.

The branches of the oak tree on the south side of the pond are totally bare and desolate looking. Then, the western sun came out and lit the branches and I could see, poking out at the end of each branch, tiny buds of green all over the entire tree. They were glowing in the sunlight. Amazing!

By the time I managed to get myself outdoors today, the snow had gone completely so there wasn't a risk of slipping.

So many things! Another sighting of the orange-crowned warbler. They are probably just passing through. A gulf fritillary. An Ohio buckeye. A native green anole. An armadillo den under my mushroom oak logs.

I made a friend from an anonymous chat website from Kerala n he is nice- like a free therapist

He is not seeking anything other than conversations due to boredom of insomnia just like me

I like ppl from Kerala anyway my driver n his wife were frm there n the maid before that they were excellent decent ppl n really superior to my family in terms of friendliness n

they were so so so hard done by , by life (the driver n his wife as they had to earn money n send it back fr their families n hadnt seen them in 10 yrs until we got to hire them then my dad was ok to let them go - apparently their previous employers paid them poorly n overworked them n forbade them from leaving to visit family!! Disgusting)

I love such ppl as they are like pakistanis but more easygoing n cool
