Happy Birthday Fnord!

and I saw a pair of wood ducks on a small pond near my home. They just sat there and let me look at them and then slowly paddled off. The male is spectacularly colored.

I was granted summer employment by The Fund for the Public Interest, which is a non-profit group that focuses on environmental issues. After an orientation session, I will begin working in June.

However, I will admit that not being here on Wrong Planet as much during this summer scares me.

I was on the trampoline and suddenly something fell from the tree above and landed behind me. I turned to look, but did not see anything. Then, something electric green ran between my feet and stopped abruptly on the bright blue rim padding. The picture finally resolved into a native green anole against the bright blue background. Stunning!
