4 AA batteries at CVS, to power a CD player and have some backups.

that was yesterday, i went there after an old, massive tree finally gave way and fell after this weekend's storm, downing a power line and knocking out electricity to our block for the better part of 11 hours.

after i came back from CVS...the power was back on. :lol:

Didn't exactly buy it but nabbed a chunk of pavement that glitters in the baleful glow of a white noise-infested television screen, a looping stray branch I found in the tangled brush of a park, two more books from a charity shop I frequent, a blank lilac shirt from a pound shop I can work out in and some more drawing pencils, can never have too many doodle sticks.

3 minutes worth of vacuum cleaner to degunk my car's floor/mats, and some vinyl upholstery cleaning cloths.

A massage. I was a professional masseur for years, and thought it would be a good way to put a very bad year behind me. There was a mix up over the appointment date, and the massage just about made up for that stress. All I got for my money was validation for not having tried it earlier, and one less thing to consider next. For me, trades work better.

I bought the usual groceries which aren't all that interesting to describe, but I also picked up an anniversary form my parents, and a big plush toy of Grumpy Bear holding a Valentine heart with "Love Stinks" written on it for myself.

Just ordered an Oakley Big Kitchen Backpack... Didn’t get the great deal on the smaller one I wanted; due to bank error. I could have gotten a slightly better deal if I was willing to have camo. Either way, wanted this for school and like the bottom separate storage for shoes.

EDIT: Cancel, not sure if I want to spend this much… Will keep an eye out for similar features at a more reasonable price.
