How are you doing overall Ivpin? I've been worried about you since your breakdown post.

Thanks for checking up on me. I was barely functioning on the Saturday and stayed in bed most of the day and barely ate unfortunately. I was a bit better on the Sunday and foolishly thought I was ok to go to school. I forgot my lanyard and broke down crying, later having a panic attack because I lost my ability to read. I'm feeling better now and I talked to my pastoral manager, tutor and teachers. They are making a plan to help me now and are relaxing on the deadlines which is what I needed. Plus I'm allowed to wear sunglasses and have some really supportive classmates. I'm going to run tomorrow and see how I feel. Plus I'm going to do some things that comfort me (sounds weird but drawing bruises and scratches on myself + basic things). I have an anxiety disorder and get depression so this is becoming routine. Hope that's not too long.

These are all proactive, self-caring steps. Good for you, Ivpin. I'm glad you are able to advocate for your needs.

That is no good! Migraines are horrible. I hope you find darkness.

Denis Istomin lost another match at a Challenger in China. I hope he's not injured or ill. A couple of weeks ago he had to retire from a match after a medical timeout.

I do have wrap-around polarised sunglasses but they aren't sufficient, and my difficulty with daylight and reflective glare is so extreme that I need to wear them in the house on top of my reading glasses. Even with curtains shut, or on foggy / cloudy / overcast days, ambient lighting makes me tense and ill. I pretty much survive by candle light because I don't like electric lightbulbs either. It's frustrating because I know I'm not alone, especially as an autistic person, but yet there is a misconception on weather reports and in mainstream psychology that everyone loves sunlight or needs a blue sky to be happy. I have Seasonal Affective Disorder against sunshine, but you'll never hear that this is a phenomenon. People say it is "reverse" SAD, as if loving sunshine and fairing poorly in the dark is an automatic norm. It makes me feel alone and hopeless when I hear that even the dark haven of Norway finds it necessary to fight nature, installing mirrors and rays of blinding sun. Even if the people voted for this, I'm sure it wasn't unanimous.

Rant over. :(

Resentful reminiscence. Just sore about something that happened recently ... it's going to be fine but I feel it's a bad habit I need to break and I'm frustrated with myself for engaging in it.
